Went for dinner @ Friday 9/6/2023 for 3pax.

Ordered: Portebello Mushroom soup Black Angus Ribeye - medium rare Smoked Back Ribs - well done Aglio Olio Seafood Add On extra salad Pisang Bakar Gula Melaka Fresh Lime A pot of English Rose Tea

The place was not exactly what u'd expect - its located in an old rustic looking post World War 2 2 storey shophouse, but with an interesting interior with a touch of minimalist modern decor.

Service was pure impeccable, with a smartly attired waiter that looked more like one of those personal butlers u'd find in a high end hotel, who was very attentive to our needs the moment we sat down. Maybe because we were the only customers at that time.

Since it was our 1st time there, the chef personally came to our table to help us order & provided his recommendation on the restaurant's favorite orders.

Took less than 20 minutes when all the food started to be served. First out - the popular Mushroom Soup that came with 4 small slices of mini loafs, perfectly toasted with butter garlic spread. The soup was hot, sumptuous & thick, making it perfect to dip the toasted sliced loafs which partially soaked the loafs & melts richly in your mouth that u want to finish all the 4 pieces of loafs in the soup at one go. Seriously....Its that bloody good.....

The Smoked Ribs - awesomely marinated & smoked to perfection that the meat's own juice mixed within the marination makes you drool again & again till u just can't seem to get enough. That was one of the best ribs we ever had that came along with their delicious home made mashed potatoes & poached veggies. The marination was so good, i didn't even bother pouring the black pepper sauce that came separately with the smoked ribs...yes, it was that good.

The Black Angus Ribeye was...well, above average & not that bad. The meat was tender enough to chew & went well with the black pepper sauce & the poached veggies, but somehow it just didn't cut it as good as the smoked ribs.

The Aglio Olio Seafood - very generous portion that came with prawns, oysters & clams. Very tasty & appetizing that my daughter finished it clean.... satisfying indeed.

The Pisang Bakar Gula Melaka - very uniquely fusion dessert house speciality.......its actually one fresh piece of banana, sliced into 2 & laced with crunchy crystalized caramelized Gula Melaka & comes with 3 scoops of vanilla flavored ice cream. Tasty but a little bit high on the sweetness barometer.

The highly recommended English Rose Tea - this was the real surprise here, as it smelled as good & as fragrant as a genuine rose bud that it felt like i was drinking tea with a bunch of roses around my nose. The distinctive fragrance just nailed it for me & my family & that really made the day for us. Was informed that the English Rose Tea was actually imported from England. Definitely a must. Ooh...the tea, its bottomless, meaning u can add on hot water as much as u want.

Overall, we really enjoyed the food & the service here. Definitely coming back...... awesomely good.

Total damage for 3 pax - RM448.... expensive, but worth every Ringgit if u appreciate genuine freshly cooked food made to order from scratch with a waiter that waits more like a personal butler & attentive service. What a gem - highly...

During our unforgettable week-long road trip through Malaysia, our family decided to cap off our adventure with a one-night stay in Malacca.

Before arriving, i researched for steakhouses and came across LeQUE Steak & Smoked House where i made reservations a week prior, eager to mark the occasion of my sister's 24th birthday on 31 December 2023.

As we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted by warm smiles from the staff, who took the time to introduce us to their menu with genuine enthusiasm and expertise. Their friendly demeanor and professional service immediately set the tone for a memorable evening.

The rustic charm of the restaurant, with its wooden decor and cozy ambiance, felt like a welcoming embrace after a day of exploration. The soft background music added to the intimate atmosphere, making us feel right at home.

After a week of indulging in delicious malay food, we were craving something different - savory and satisfying. And Leque Steak delivered beyond our expectation.

Each dish was a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. From the caramelized goodness of the steak to the velvety smoothness of the mashed potatoes, every bite was a delight for the senses. It was clear that the chefs put their heart and soul into every dish, and we couldn't help but be impressed.

What's more, the prices were surprisingly reasonable, especially considering the exceptional quality of the food. It was a pleasant surprise that made our dining experience even more enjoyable. And as we savored the last bites of our meal, we couldn't help but feel grateful for the wonderful memories we had created together. Leque Steak Smoked House had truly exceeded our expectations and become the highlight of our trip.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend Leque Steak Smoked House to anyone looking for a truly unforgettable...

Happened to pass by and saw this restaurant at a corner so decided to try it out since it was late around 9pm and most restaurants and cafes are closing.

Went in and was greeted very warmly by the female waitress. The menu had so many different types of smoked items, pasta/rice and especially wagyu steaks. We ordered mushroom soup as appetizer, a wagyu tritip steak and the signature lamb shank as the mains.

Gosh we were both so stoked by the mushroom soup! It was the best I have ever tasted! 10/10 Even the bread was crispy and warm to the touch, perfect pairing for the mushroom soup! So gooooood that imma come here again just to take away the mushroom soup XD haha!

Wagyu tritip was awesome too, melts in your mouth with every bite, definitely worth to try! Had ordered medium but I think I’ll go for medium rare the next time!

The chef even personally came over to introduce their signature dishes one by one, carefully detailing each of them, what good service!

The mash was really really unforgettably good too! Also another one of the best I’ve ever tasted! Too bad I can’t do any take-always for the mash :/

Their different types of purée, so unexpectedly delicious too, finely plated and decorated!

Smoked lamb shank for 12hours, tender meat and no lamb-after taste, pairs perfectly with the specially made sauce!

Last but not least we had the Pisang Bakar Gula Melaka, the sugar caramelized on the banana was awesome, voila crème brûlée banana! The ice cream was just average, but it did pair well with the Pisang Bakar.

All in all I would definitely come back again! Thumbs up! 👍🏻

A shoutout to the guys @ LeQUE! Thank you! Appreciate putting all your hard work and effort into making such great...

We were so curious with this steakhouse place the last time we went to Malacca. Fortunately we are here again in Malacca and it's time to try this surprisingly great steak house. They serve wide range of beef cuts, from wagyu, angus, grain fed, brisket, you name it. They also serve lamb shanks and chicken but hey, you're coming to steakhouse, you should try their beef. We order Portobello mushroom soup, Black Angus Ribeye and Australia Tajima Wagyu Ribeye. Surprisingly, their Portobello mushroom soup was extremely good. The portion is just enough for one person so it's not a sharing one. Their Black Angus Ribeye was lean and the texture was excellent. And their Australia Tajima Wagyu Ribeye Marbling Score 7 was the best. The mixture of lean meat with great texture and juice fat is just perfect. We order refreshing herbs drink (soda with asam boi, lemon grass & mint) and grape juice. The good ambience they have makes a perfect date location when the place is less crowded. The waiter was so polite and helpful, he suggested the drinks that goes well with iur food. At the end after we finished our meal, he even asked how the food was, only trained waiter for fine dining restaurant asking this kind of question. According to the waiter, during weekend surprisingly it's less crowded, because the way to go here is quite jammed. Price wise, we spent around RM400 for 2 person. Overall it's a great experience to enjoy a great steak in Malacca without killing your pocket. Will definitely go here again on our next trip to Malacca.

This is our 2nd time coming to LeQUE Steak and Smoked House in Melaka. Their food is still felt the same like when we came, it's amazing. We ordered 2 Mushroom Soup as the starter, Wagyu & T-bone for the main course, and ended it with Pisang Bakar Gula Melaka. For the drink we ordered Virgin Mojito and Bicarbonate peach drink. It took awhile to get our order because they're almost full house when we came. But they cooked our steak to perfection (depend on your doneness preference). The side dishes also well prepared (it's a mashed potato wrapped in veggies, some asparagus and little touch of garnish. For the T-bone, they brought the extra juices that overflow from the grilling and put it as additional dip (which is amazing). Their Mushroom Soup taste nice as well, but it seems a bit watery this time around. What amazed us is the Pisang Bakar Gula Melaka, they make a thin caramelized layer on top of the grilled banana that they split in half. They put 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream on top of that, which is perfect tk end the meal. Price wise, we spent around RM600 for 2 pax. They open till midnight but we're the last patrons for the day. Something to be considered of is they are located in a tight spot, which doesn't have any parking spot, so going here using ride hailing is prefered, but then it's a bit hard to get a ride when it's close to midnight. Overall this is still our first choice to go for steak when in Melaka. P.S. You can ask for the menu in advance to check their monthly specials for that month.
