Please read the conversation between me and the staff in the first picture. Me : Hi, for 2 pax. Staff : *Looks inside and look back at us* It's full. Me : So how long do we have to wait? Staff : Donno. Maybe whole day. Me : Err, so what is the estimation? Staff : 1 hour like that. Me : So where do we wait? Staff : You can wait inside. It was pouring heavily, so we entered the shop and there were other customers waiting in front of the cashier as well. Luckily, I saw another staff taking names then I proceeded to list down my name. Me : So where should we wait instead? Outside at the chairs? Staff 2 : Yeah supposedly you are supposed to wait there. I am not sure what's wrong with the first staff, is he high? Is he tired of working? Is he just a rude person in general? Please keep in mind when he answered our questions, it was as if he was playing around and jokingly like we are his friends. I don't understand his work ethic. And why he doesn't inform us that we have to write down our name and wait outside? There's so many questions inside my head at that point. And the funny part is we got a table after 10 minutes of waiting, because there were only 2 names before us. We were seated upstairs, the service upstairs was good. So here's my comments for the foods and beverages. A lot of the food sold out. Leaving us with the option of Nasi Lemak and Mee Curry. Okay... understandable it's the weekend crowd. But come on, with thousands of reviews aren't you supposed to be prepare for the oncoming crowd? I ordered the Nasi Lemak instead. Food was good but my chicken was very cold. I don't understand what happened. Did you even cook it? Did you leave it out for a very long time? And then, here comes the famous Apam Balik. More like Hangit Apam Balik. I understand the sentiment that they are trying to tell people about selling Apam Balik the traditional way, but how about sell a decent traditional Apam Balik first. Next, stated on the menu is Ice Milo with their own recipe. But all I got was a small cup of bland Milo like Milo O Kosong. For some reason it was watery as hell. Overall? This place is just one of those place that are overhyped on the Internet and for tourist, because international tourist can't differentiate between a good local food and a bad one. Would I come again? No. Would I recommend to others? No. I have seen the owner replies in the Google Reviews. I understand how hard it is to run a business, especially F&B. But I have been working in F&B for many years as well, and I can assure you this is not the kind of service you should run. Service was totally out because of the first staff. Then it was just a snowball of disasters and frustrations. PS: Before the owner comes to me, I did told one of your staff that the food was cold. The Apam? Well he can see it for himself that it was hangit.

This restaurant was part of our must-visit list of food to try. For the curious and adventure seekers, this restaurant serves unique nasi lemak with rice that shaped like Petronas twin towers, but the rice itself falls short of the traditional coconut flavored taste. Also unique is their kaya toast served with 3 blends of liquid kaya. For food lovers, the curry laksa flavorful broth is one of the best. Kopi is dripped coffee using traditional Asian roasted beans. We arrived around 11:30am, was greeted at the entrance, and immediately ushered to a table. The river side seatings were all taken. Inside seating was cooling on a hot day with too many fans blowing in many directions. Yes, long hairs do get blown around. We attempted the QR code FeedMe ordering and were so frustrated with the process! I've been ordering food via QR code for years, and this is my first time ever cursing at this implementation. After scanning the code, it forces user to input their phone number to register an account and requires user to switch country profile on their phones! All 4 of our phones couldn't bypass the forced registration to order our food. We're definitely not giving away our phone numbers. We eventually waved for the staff and told them we couldn't order with our phone. Immediately, the staff gave us a mobile phone to proceed with ordering with no questions asked. 🤦‍♂️ We deduced this is a common issue here. 🤔 This aside, staff members were attentive and friendly. We had one delayed order, but the staff was quick to resolve it. Asked for an extra plate, and it was served quickly. Price is reasonable.

Gave an overall 3 star based on my personal experience. This is another popular touristy restaurant where food quality doesn’t stay on par with the price point and environment. Be prepared to queue under hot sun as there’s just not enough shaded spots for the crowd, good thing as for small pax the queue move quite soon. We came as in a pax of 3 and only waited ~15mins around 11am. Service was actually well, especially when we requested to change the drumstick to chicken breast. The staff was quick to understand and convey the request to the kitchen. Nasi Lemak Twin Tower with Chicken Rendang & Otak. So the rice is actually not as fragrant as your usual nasi lemak, there’s no aroma from the rice itself. The presentation is nice but more of a gimmick. Funnily enough both nasi lemak actually comes with different side dish, where the Rendang version got papadum keropok but not the Otak version. The Rendang is nice but no the Otak, the seasoning is just off. Also, no ikan bilis? Roti Jala with Chicken Curry, I seriously cannot justify paying that price and you only get a tiny piece of chicken and lacklustre curry. The curry itself is rather bland and watery, which in a way spoil the whole experience of this dish. Signature toast is just generic and nothing special. So does the Cham Bing(coffee & tea), just watery and average. The dining experience itself is actually alright if you get there early, enjoying the morning breeze along the river. But you dine a little bit later, you get the sense of urgency to leave once you’re done as the crowd is just packed!
