My husband n i are craving for thai cuisine so this is the place we chose. We gave 3 stars for thai thai. My review here is totally on the food. We ordered thai green curry, tomyam goong, lime steamed fish, mango salad, fried beaf with hot basil, mango sticky rice, thai iced tea n lemongrass drink. We do ordered meang kham for appetizer but they sold out. Basically i cant remember the exact name of every dishes because the name are in thai language but description in the menu do help us. N we go oh..aahh..ok. But i never tasted of grèen curry before..n that is my 1st time tasting green curry and i fall in love with it. So i can't make any comparison. The tomyam taste like any ordinary tomyam goong stall because i had tasted a way super delicious tomyam somewhere in langkawi and an authentic tomyam in bangkok. And for the lime steamed fish, it is too sour for my taste bud. A good steamed lime fish should have sour, a hint of sweet to cut the sourness n salty but not too salty and...lots of garlic n chili pepper loaded on the fish. So the fish is not what i have in mind. The mango salad tasted ordinary. Nothing to be aww about. The thai iced tea n lemongrass drink also an average for me. The beef is nice, it brings out the hot basil flavour. I give 2 thumbs up for their sticky rice mango mainly because of how they prepared the sticky rice. The mango taste a little bit sour. I can't blame them for that. The key of good sticky rice is how u prepared the rice n the coconut milk. I have found so many people sell their sticky rice mango and fail on the sticky rice n the coconut milk gravvy. It cost me rm215.60 for all the food. I'm not going there anymore..not because of the price..but mainly of the so so food. There are a lot of room to...
Read moreFor years, Thai Thai Restaurant in Sunway Pyramid has been serving diners in with their finest Thai cuisines and hospitality service. In order to provide a better dining environment, Thai Thai goes through a series of renovation this year, and now they are back again with their brand new dining environment, but same delicious and authentic Thai delicacies.
The newly renovated Thai Thai emphasizes on simple, modern yet elegant interior, but retaining the Thai concept at the same time. The next time when you dine in Thai Thai, do keep an eye on the colourful “symbols” that are mingle on the black coloured walls, they are Thai words.
We went for a Thai feast in Thai Thai when it is opened back after the renovation, and feel glad that their food is still good as before.
There are a few signature drinks (House Speciallity) in Thai Thai which you should not miss, which are Thai Iced Tea, Thai Iced Coffee, Thai Thai Fruit Punch, Iced Blended Fresh Coconut, Iced Blended Lychee Mint and Mango Mama Smoothies.
Thai Iced Tea – Back (RM10.00) Thai Iced Tea emphasizes more on the tea flavor, where the milk taste is tone down with the distinct tea flavor. Good for those who like their milk tea to be in stronger tea flavor.
We started off the meal with Thod Man Pla, or Thai Fish Cake which serves as a great snack before the mains. The fish cakes have a firm and bouncy texture, and you can dip it into sweet chilli sauce served alongside with the fish cake for...
Read moreAn authentic Thai restaurant serving premium Thai food. Price is quite high, the flavors are above average, but not fantastic. When we arrived, looking through the menu, all the food items were called in their original Thai names. At least there were explanations and photos. Naming the food in their original names set quite a high expectation for us, since we frequent Bangkok and have eaten fantastic food there at much lower cost. To start off, we ordered the fried fish cakes with the sweet Thai chilly sauce and the papaya salad (Som Tam Thai). The fish cakes were alright. The papaya salad seems to be missing something that we could not place. Maybe we were used to so much more spice in Thailand. Then we had the pineapple fried rice, green chicken curry, Tom Yam Gung and some fried vegetables. Taste was good. Main dish was the steamed Siakap. That was alright. For dessert we had the mango with sticky rice which was nice, and the water chestnut in coconut milk which was good too. Overall, the restaurant setting was inviting, and relaxing. Staff were quite helpful and tried their best to give their best service. I can't say if I would come back very often. Still give it a try if you want authentic Thai food and don't mind stretching your...
