We found this restaurant by visiting the Marina. We were interested since as a family we love seafood. We made a reservation and were seated inside. The service was good our biggest complain is with management and the food.
The restaurant implies it is a lobster house serving fresh lobster. Under this assumption, we ordered 4 lobster tails. Unbeknownst to us, the lobster tails were pre-packaged frozen tails that were no longer in tail form. When they arrived, they looked more like scrambled eggs and tasted rubbery. For the price of $60 per lobster dinner we were mislead and disappointed.
Furthermore, as we went to order different sides along with the lobster (since all that was offered was creamed spinach and linguini). We ordered a baked potato which was completely BLAND and lukewarm. The food in total was a complete utter disaster.
Our family is not one to ever complain, however, we investigated and learned the lobster tail was in fact frozen and came with a tail that did not even belong to that respective lobster. It was presented in a false respect.
We complained in a appropriate manner and were not rude or nasty in any way. The manager compensated with a free dessert, nevertheless, we were still charged for the FROZEN and RUBBERY lobster. As paying customers we should have been compensated for the lobsters. We found this behavior appalling.
This was our experience at Lorenzillo’s Los Cabo’s. From our experience we would not recommend...
Read moreMy expectations were high as we have been to the Lorenzillo's in Cancun twice and it was worth every penny! This visit was not very good. The service was up to par but the ambiance and food more importantly were not impressive.
I ordered the steak and lobster. They refer to the steak as a silver level, being there best. Save your money and go to Ruth Chris a few yards away and enjoy top quality prime. This was one of the most disappointing steaks I've ever had. Full of fat and I mean the bad fat that you cannot chew through..I guess more like grizzle. I love a good ribeye and this was far from a good one.
My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass and at aprox $70 USD, I recommend ordering something else. What I consider a top quality filet was simply average. It was good but not$70.00 good.
The appetizer and lobster were really good but for an overall tab of $250.00 USD I was not happy. I made mention of the bad steak experience and showed them half the steak that I left plus all of the uneatable grizzle and to compensate they offered a free dessert, which we turned down. What a joke!
The location in Cancun is far superior and I recommend finding a different restaurant if the craving is surf and turf...
Read moreThis place has great food. They still need to work on service. We were in a group of 9. Our reservation had been in place for months. We were seated right away. It took an hour for us to get entrees. Our appetizers came out right away and were absolutely delicious. We had octopus, Flatbread, scallops, blue cheese salad and of course champagne. The serving size for each appetizer was 1, maybe two. Meaning, the Flatbread was personal size, the salad was a wedge (1/4 of the head of lettuce) and so on. Most of the entrees ordered were the lobster. Some others had the salmon or shrimp entrees. Not all of our side dishes made it to the table, definitely not our stomachs. We waited almost another hour for our checks. When people started to leave, they came running out to ask those of us still there for names of the people that left. Not a good look. We were not a bunch of friends from years gone by. We are International Speakers who had given our speeches and were being celebrated. We didn't know everyone's last name, definitely not room numbers. This specific restaurant at the resort has items on the menu that are outside the meal plan i.e the whole lobster....
