Capital Sushi By Marlini — Restaurant in El Medano Ejidal

Well, I guess I'll have to start by saying, maybe we came on an off night based on all of the other reviews, but there's no way I can give this place more than 3 stars.

Service started out great, then turned really weird and absent. We would have to ask for plates, ask for soy sauce bowls, we even had to ask for our 3 sushi roll. It was just odd. I mean they were nice when there, but it felt very off-putting.

Sushi was just okay. The fish wasn't necessarily the freshest and the execution of the rolls were okay. The rice was too soft and smashed to be more like a rice cake vs sushi rice. We frankly were gravely disappointed given so many other amazing reviews.

Roman and his 2 sushi chefs created an incredible experience for us. While there are several Japanese/sushi restaurants to choose from, this particular choice provides more of a “hole in the wall” type feel, like you’ve stumbled upon something special and unique. The fish is incredibly fresh and seems to come off the Marlini sport fishing boats right there in the Marina. There was fresh caught Wahoo when we were there that we added to a roll. Everything was exquisitely plated, priced fairly, and tasted delicious! I recommend the rock shrimp as an appetizer and of course the banana tempura...

Started the day on their 45’ fishing charter, Reelax. What a day, what a crew, what a boat. If that wasn’t enough, our fresh catch was then taken to Capital sushi by Marlini to eat an entire spread of what was Prepared from the mahi-mahi caught three hours prior. Crew was amazing, chef was amazing and overall service was amazing. Highly highly recommend to anyone coming to Cabo San Lucas for a day of experiences you will never forget!!! ...
