La Chatita — Restaurant in El Medano Ejidal

We went fishing today and caught a blue marlin, it unfortunately didn't make it so we brought it here for them to prep. We dropped it off at 4pm, they said it would be ready for 6:30pm. They were promt on time but I am skeptical that they served the fish we caught. We did drop off a bag of 20lb or so and was served maybe a quarter of egat we brought. We had ceviche on the boat and it was better than here. They may have served chicken and claimed it as fish (keep this in mind if you have allergies!). It was not bad otherwise but it was very disappointing when the table next to us ordered the exact same thing we were served. I'll come again, but won't bring my own fish. Editing to add they asked if we were celebrating a special event. We were here for a birthday. And they COMPLETELY FORGOT but we reminded them and they delivered a nice carrot cake and specialized deep fried treat that had her name carved into it.

We asked for our bill 3 times and when we finally received it they tried overcharging...

Can't thank the staff enough for going out of their way to make my husband's birthday very memorable. Everything was amazing. Drinks very well made, tableside guacamole a HUGE hit with us, the calamari was prepared a unique way and we all loved it. Molcajete dish was enjoyed by 3 of our husband's, I had a mixed taco plate (not listed on the menu but our kind waiter was very accommodating since I wanted to sample 3 different types of tacos.) My friend said her enchiladas were wonderful and another girlfriend had the fish sandwich and said it was prepared very well. We were not disappointed in anything that was delivered to our table. Then to be blown away when the bill arrived. We asked if he could split 3 ways so we could pay with three cards and again..."no problem " This type of service will always bring me back. Went to the bar there for a mojito, mojito was great and on the menu stated that each drink was 200 pesos. When I asked for the check, I saw another guy telling him something about the charges and when he came to our table with the check, he wrote down on a piece of paper that the total was 420 pesos ( we had a total of 2 drinks at 200 pesos which equals 400 pesos. When I saw that that, I told him the drinks were 200 each. A young girl came with him to the table with the terminal. When I said it was 200 each all of a sudden the young girl tells him, no it 400 pesos as I had already state that the drinks did not add up to 420 pesos.
