Kabuki Sushi — Restaurant in Mexico City

I had a horrible experience at Kabuki Sushi in Mexico City, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Yes, it’s cheap, but the quality follows along in every possible way—from the food to the service to the overall experience.

Shortly after eating, I started feeling sick, and by the time I got home, I realized I had food poisoning. The fish didn’t taste fresh, but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt—huge mistake.

To make matters worse, the manager was an absolute nightmare. He was rude, dismissive, and acted like I was an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. Any time I had a simple request, he made me feel like I was asking for too much, rolling his eyes and speaking to me in the most condescending way possible. It was clear he had no interest in customer service and even less interest in addressing concerns about the food.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place was bad enough that I felt like I had to. Terrible food, awful service, and a manager who should find a new job. Even for the low price, it’s not worth it. Avoid...

I’ve eaten here before a few times, but todays service was horrible. I received an naranjada that tasted expired. We tried to explain that it tasted expired and we could not drink it, only to receive the response that it was our opinion. I asked for the manager and as well, the response from Ricarco was “the manager is not here”. She did not try to help us and was extremely rude, not offering anything else. Meh. Subpar sushi for the price. I am pretty sure they watered down my Mezcal as well (I am a big fan of the brand, doesn't usually taste that flat- waste of $100 pesos on that one.)
