I had the burger Borracha with the Paquete which includes (1 jenginada + 1 galleta oreo o concha o croissant ) However the burger that I received looked nothing like the images. The image included a fried crispy patty but that was not the case when I received my burger. It came out way too soggy. Also the cheese sauce that came with the burger did not taste cheesey at all and tasted like a light sweetened pudding. I had a friend taste it and he said the same thing. Did the chef not taste the cheese sauce to make sure it's a little bit salty, sour and pungent like a cheese?
I do have to say that the bun that came with the burger was really good and I think they bake it in house. Also their 3 leches cake was really good and I didn't have to pay extra for it because of the inconvenience I had with their food.
It seems like their pastries are their specialty. I can't really say the same about their...
Read moreI had a delicious bliss bowl here (added vegan chicken for 25 pesos as extra protein but honestly wasn’t necessary). It was super filling and the breaded tofu was divine! I do wish they added more tofu (or that I had paid an additional 35 pesos to get two portions of it) but along with the generous amount of edamame and brown rice noodles, it is definitely a filling and protein-rich meal. I was skeptical when ordering since many vegan salads/bowls end up being made to be filling only for a tiny skinny woman but that was not the case here. I also had an oat horchata, which was creamy and tasty but I haven’t had a horchata before so I can’t compare it to the rice version. I did not try their pizzas but did see that they were made with cashew cheese. Will definitely try those if I am back in CDMX. All in all, this place surprised me and I wished I had discovered at the...
Read moreI recently went to Vegamo in Mexico City (the one on Merida Street), and let me tell you, it's a total hidden gem. The vibe inside is super chill and cozy, just right for a relaxing meal. The staff? Friendly and really know their stuff. They hooked us up with some seriously amazing dishes. And here's the kicker, the prices were shockingly fair, especially with all the buzz in the area. But here's the real deal: that Chile en Nogada was next-level. Seriously, the best I've ever had. Plus, you won't have trouble finding the place it's in a great spot that's easy to get to.Oh, and they've got a great terrace tucked under a tree for those sunny days – it's the cherry on top! If you're in Mexico City, don't miss out on Vegamo. It's...
