Went there with five friends Had the garlic cheesy bread with chicken cream pennes. On my side, I really enjoyed the pastas. Thought they were full of taste with a well balanced sauce. That being said, the garlic bread was deceitful. The top was too cooked so we couldn’t appreciate the cheese and the garlic wasn’t that present taste wise.
ALSO, it looked like their machine to pay with the card was broken or something. That being said, I later learned that they only accepted three types of cards (maestro and two others that I don’t know) so be ready to pay with cash!
Staff was honestly really nice, and I thought it was nice to see them work as a team on a rainy Sunday night.
Would’ve liked to have pictures for yall, but we were so hungry that I didn’t even think about it.
My friends took pizzas and pastas. They enjoyed it too (except for the garlic bread and...
Read moreMy wife and I ate here on the spur of the moment, to keep out of the steady rain on a cold Wednesday afternoon in April 2024. It does look basic ...... but the welcome from the man taking the orders and waiting on tables was warm and friendly and his English was good. We ordered two different pasta dishes, penne with pesto and broccoli and penne with chicken in a tomato sauce, together with some garlic bread. All the dishes were absolutely delicious and we made sure we thanked the man and the lady in the kitchen behind the counter, who seemed to be doing most of the cooking. The food was that good! NB: there is a toilet for customers but this is on the first floor, up a flight of very steep, narrow stairs. You have been warned! We would definitely recommend this excellent, privately run, small restaurant, which deserves...
Read moreThe pizzas were nothing to write home about. The toppings were ok, but the dough tasted like something you pick up frozen at the store, not handmade locally. It took quite some time to cook the pizzas, maybe the oven is a consumer oven, not the kind used for pizza. The seating was very limited so you'd have to listen to your table being free in x minutes every time a potential customer came in. Makes you feel in the way of the next person. There was a family of four next to us, they tried to order 3 pizzas and share but were not allowed to, so there was like a minimal order for a table of four but it was not clear how much. The whole exchange was rather rude and made our experience unpleasant as well. The place looks like a small and friendly business but it's more about getting you fed and getting you out...
