Parmigiano Amsterdam — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Arrived looking for a table for 2 and was able to be seated straight away. Staff were friendly but service was quite slow as the evening went on. They were good with allergies however communication wasn’t the greatest, especially as we wished to clarify ingredients for peace of mind.

We ordered the prawns to start which were delicious and came piping hot. When the pizza did come (30 mins after ordering) it came without rocket leaves which it said it would come with on the menu, the waiter looked confused and asked if we did want it to which I pointed out the listing on the menu, in the end the complete pizza was given to us.

Another thing which did affect the atmosphere was the waiting staff shouting orders to each other across the restaurant.

We asked for 2 side plates as we were sharing the pizza and they arrived quite dirty.

The staff was friendly. Waiting at the door. When we sat down there were dirty napkins under the knife and fork. Not a problem, asked for a new one which she quickly brought. We asked for a coke zero, she delivered pepsi. As the taste was different I asked to assure if it really is coke, she said yes, but later, at the bill was also noted it was pepsi. A dark hair in the pizza crust. A pizza itself was ok. Not good, not bad. Average. Later, when we tried to pay for the bill it turned out it was impossible to pay with phone or debit, only with credit???!! And as we didn't have that much cash with us, had to walk to the atm to get money. Should have at least mentioned it in the beginning or wish there was a sign that said only credit card accepted. This place was well below average, we ordered Nachos, garlic bread and Bitterballen to start, and three pasta dishes for mains. Two of the three sauces that turned up with the nachos were not to a reasonable standard, the sour cream had what appeared to be a beard hair in it, we were three girls dining, and the guacamole was out of date and tasted fizzy. The sour cream was replaced but when we asked the waiter about the guacamole he looked confused and brought another one out, that had also gone out of date.
