I had received a voucher from family last year for my birthday. We finally had the opportunity to use it in the weekend. I am never someone to leave a review but for this I feel is necessary. We tried to organise a booking for around the grill, unfortunately they were fully booked- given the late notice of our booking we completely understood that so we’re happy to be seated in the dining area. Beautiful premises and lovely atmosphere. However because we weren’t sat at the grill all service staff were focused on the groups at the grill and we were very much forgotten about. Look it is what it is so that’s okay we finally ordered our food and it was delicious! So much favouring and it was great! Very expensive we had a $100 voucher and for the 2 of us we had to pay $70 on top of that which I feel is a bit excessive. We left after about 90 mins. Within an hour of being home we both became incredibly unwell. We both spent most of the night violently ill and really not doing great haha. I emailed the restraint to let them know as without a doubt it was either from the food prep or cooking. Unfortunately 3 days later we have had no reply which is just frustrating. Won’t...

It is a combination of chicken and seafood (consists of pieces of diced salmon, white fish, scallop and prawn). The set comes with a bowl of normal white plain rice or teppanyaki fried rice for an extra $4 (I ordered the teppanyaki fried rice because I want to try it out). It comes with three dipping sauces; teriyaki, soy and herb butter. I also ordered two Asahi beers (on tap) to go with my teppanyaki chicken and seafood.
I was seated around this teppanyaki cooking area watching the sensei (Japanese master chef) doing his unique cooking skills on the large hot plate/ griddle. Quite entertaining seeing the food cooked right in front of me.
I do recommend to book ahead or make a reservation for the teppanyaki. It is well worth it and you will thoroughly enjoy it.

We were lucky enough to have the "ironman' chef who was attentive despite cooking for 10 people at a time. He also performed the fire finger tips trick which mesmerized both my kids and me!
Lovely to have the kids meals options which were protein packed and decent portioned.
The adults had the seafood set option which was great! Love the akaroa salmon and the scallops. Lobster tail was slightly over cooked but still very delicious.
Waiters were attentive. The FOH staff was very accommodating despite my last minute changes with timings of the booking as we were running late. In addition, the place were kept clean and tidy. Most teppanyaki places have a "oily smell/atmosphere" which was not apparent in this restaurant.
Was a lovely end evening meal for our last night in our Christchurch trip. I am so glad we chose this place to try with the entertainment book promotion, as there are quite a few teppanyaki options...
