I seldom write reviews. This is my first negative review. A friend and I went to meet some other friends here on Saturday 10th Feb 2018 at about 11.30pm. The bar and drinks were great. However, the staff member working the door was truly terrible. He was standoffish, rude, and basically the worst example of customer service in hospo I have experiened. It seemed his aim was to find any small reason to deny entry, even attempting to goad us into an argument. I thought maybe it was just me but our friends already in the bar 30mins prior all had the same experience. We are all 30something professionals who were sober/had literally one drink. It was unbeliveable we were all treated this way. In the 30ish mins we were there I watched the doorman treat other customers in this terrible manner. Despite the bar being really nice I wont be going here again and suggest everyone else find a more welcoming cocktail bar. Management need to address how their door staff greet and vett potentinal customers. As it stands the current approach is costing you repeat customers and is harmful to your rep due to word of mouth. Super excited to book here for Valentine’s dinner. We’d looked at the menu and were looking forward to the antipasto platter and some of the other sharing plates. On arrival we were given details of the specials which consisted of bruschetta and desserts, packaged with cocktails for $50. We presumed that these were in addition to the menu and weren’t told otherwise. On ordering our second drink we said we’d like to order food, specifically the antipasto platter only to be told that they were only serving the two specials or fries?????????? We were told the kitchen had made this change that morning. Totally disappointed with this as we’d planned this evening some weeks before. This ruined our valentines evening completely and if we had known this we would have chosen somewhere...

This review posted same night. It started off with the bouncer either trying to be funny or trying to put us off entering the premises with a weird comment your competitors are here, you won't wanna come in?

Rude (I presume acting manager). We did get in, the bouncer allowed us through, a little curious/disturbed what he was on about. I was one of the last to order within our group, the manager took one look at me and said they wouldn't serve me because my tie was loosened off and was told that it was a trait of someone being intoxicated, I was very confused as I was the sober one in the group. I waited for friends to finish their order and then we left to go upstairs to Fat Eddie's, the experience was very embarrassing and real downer...
