Laughable! Yes, it was their first week open, yes they were busy but the food and service were severely lacking. 1. Waited to be seated as waitress could not operate the booking system and had to ask her manager, who seemed to be the only one operating the bar. We were then ignored while others around us received water and had drinks orders taken. Finally ordered 2 Aperol Spritz which were supposed to be complimentary. They tried to charge for these when we left. 2. Stracciatella with pears (tinned?) was tasteless. 3. Calamari was crumbed, deep fried, horribly salty with tasteless sauce. Have had better in a fisherman's basket at my local pub. 4. Pork rillette was the consistency of a pate, not served with any bread - how are you supposed to eat it? 5. No spoons supplied to apportion our shared dishes. Had high hopes for this place but...

We dined on Friday and had "trust the chef" for $65 per person. We were told that this was to include 6 courses.

When we got the courses they were tiny, we had one pork chop between four of us.

Portion sizes very small and were not individual courses and were shared.

Beautiful venue, unfortunately the size of the food was over priced. We were very dissapointed and still hungry afterwards.

After being private messaged on Facebook, we were asked to 'reconsider' I.e. change our review. You offered us a complimentary experience. I.e this would in turn refund us the money which we spent on the expeince that evening, then us as the customer were accused of using the honest Google Review as "a leverage to get a refund".

This is extremely dissapointing and very unprofessional.

The purpose of the review was to make everyone aware of the "Trust...

We recently celebrated a 21st birthday at this venue, and it was absolutely fantastic. From start to finish, Anna-Maria went above and beyond to make the event special. She provided thoughtful reassurance in the lead-up, which meant that even with a smaller guest list, the birthday girl felt completely at ease and confident the night would go well—and it truly did. The event was beautifully organised, and we had a wonderful time. Guests couldn’t stop talking about how impressed they were with the venue and the staff—everyone was professional, warm, and attentive. This of course meant that we could truly relax and enjoy the celebration. The evening left a really positive impression on all who attended. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a venue in Christchurch. It will absolutely be top of mind for...

Just incredible! The goats cheese croquettes are genuinely life changing, I couldn't get enough. The restaurant is beautiful and clean, and the staff are friendly and professional. Only reason I marked atmosphere a 4 is because we went on a very quiet night so didn't get to experience it. They also offer complementary housemade limoncello shots at the end of the meal. While limoncello isn't usually my thing, it was absolutely stunning, quite sweet and easy to drink. Honestly though, the best cheeses and Italian food I've had in Christchurch. I was quite devastated to get home and realise I'd forgotten our leftovers at the table 😭 Also, it can be a little confusing to find; you want to leave the parking building on level 1, and it's behind the elevator floating in the little plaza space.

The food here makes the visit worthwhile. I recommend coming on a weekday or off peak hours to avoid the poor service. When we visited it seemed like they were short staffed by 1 or 2 people, the servers are making their own drinks which really slows things down. It took 44 minutes from the time we entered to get our first entrees and most of that time was just waiting for someone to come and take out order. In short, the service is bad. I was ready to dislike this spot due to service but the food is quite good. The goat cheese croquettes are outstanding! Portions are a bit small but in line with the price. Pasta dishes are good but I would like to see a few more options on the menu. Atmosphere is OK, they have an open kitchen but when full this dining room is incredibly loud.

The place was a little difficult to find at the start because I didn’t know it was located at the 3rd floor. However this place is certainly worth the visit if you are looking for a romantic dinner with great food. First thing you will notice is the ambience of bar Franco which can be easily paired with a wine or 2. Ordered the calamari, Vongole and the hand cut fries. The foods were absolutely amazing especially the fries, you would be in for a surprise how they make that dish so tasty. Last thing to mention they changed the plates after the starter dish if you do order which gives the luxury feel. Cost of the dinner was reasonably priced and I would definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Christchurch. Cheers 🥂
