I had heard good things about this place so was a little disappointed when after barely arriving to our booked appointment and settling in, we were asked if if we could move tables for a larger group who had also booked. We ordered food which was very nice but took quite a while to arrive due to the cafe being very busy (Sunday morning) and probably them being understaffed. Look, the food and coffee was great, but the staff looked a bit frazzled and a bit unorganized. I understand if staff are ill or can't get in these days, but be honest with your customers and say so, don't overbook tables and tell customers that there is a bit of a wait for food. It was getting to close to half an hour for us and we had clearly finished our drinks by the time the food got to our table. The server was polite but was obviously quite busy. I'm sure others have had better experiences here so we may have just picked a bad day for our visit, but with many other options around it might be a while before we return. Read moreI wasn’t quite sure about this place initially but despite this decided to give it a go as a friend suggested it for our weekly Wednesday breakfast. I ordered the hot chocolate and cheese scone. Firstly, the hot chocolate arrived. It was a great size for the price ($4.50). I had the first taste and was unsure of it. Overall was not the most enjoyable food. We also ordered the Omu rice, the chicken was very good but the egg has an interesting texture to it. The americano coffee was very burnt. However, the restaurant itself was very aesthetically pleasing and the staff were kind hence why we felt uncomfortable to tell the lovely staff about the terrible food. The cabinet croissant however was very enjoyable and...
Read moreThis is a nice cafe in the city. Busy I must say given proximity to council office. Chicken is halal as per the service team.
We had a nos of things and they all came out well. Serving size is appropriate to price and comparable to other places. Taste was good too
We had chaat masala potato 23$ Omurice rice with chicken 29$ (a bigger serving would certainly help) Double eggs/yolk on a sourdough 14$ (this was too plain) Smoked salmon club champ 27$ (slight variation to eggs bene by using potato base) Waffle savory with chicken 26$ (this ws ok) Smoothies were expensive10.50 each and left quite a bit to be desired. Taste wise nothing special. Long black was fine 5$
Overall this is a good place for breakfast and coffee and certainly liked their variation.
There is also cabinet food such as...
