Noodle Man is one of those places that you need to visit when you're craving some hot soup and great noodles.
I have been going to Noodle Man consistently for the past several years, even before I moved to Wellington and what a joy this place is. Everything on their menu is under $25 which is a rare find in a city that is full of overpriced dishes with less than desired flavours.
Their Beef Noodle Soup is such an exceptional dish that you'd be hard pressed to find a better bowl in Wellington. The beef is so tender that it falls apart when you try to pick it up with your chopsticks. The broth is rich, deep and full of warm spices that leave you feeling comforted after just one sip. If I could eat one type of noodle dish for the rest of my life, it would very well be Noodle Man's Beef Noodle Soup.
Their rice dishes are also such great value and they really heap on the amount of meat and veges.
Please support this lovely business. Capital Market is definitely not what it used to be but it deserves all the love...

There's nothing exceptional about the cooking, just that you have the novelty of being able to tailor your order more than is usual. The beef was tender and of a decent portion; bak choy and green garnishing were included.
Overall the quantity is a little less than other eateries (comparing apples with apples) and that is largely because the plastic bowls at this venue (Capital Market) are smaller than the bowls elsewhere (even though the pricing is not cheaper).
The one disappointment was the texture ie. very soft, soggy, thin, rice noodles. They were not the usual firmer, rice noodles associated with this kind of cuisine that chef indicated, before ordering. (Most Asian noodles are usually served al dente except for a very few,...
Read moreOrdered glass noodles they were inedibly chewy and the quality of the chicken with my partners chicken katsu was so mind numbingly bland we had to throw both dishes out. I can not recommend you avoid this place enough
The plastic they put the food in is probably a better meal then the food
Reply to owner: definitely not my first time eating glass noodles i understand they are meant to be a bit chewy but the noodles were comparable to chewing belt leather the issue likely was that they tasted overcooked and not properly they tasted like they were boiled instead of being cooked properly I have no hate for you but they were not the...
