My son needs breakfast, and I need coffee before we go through security on our way out of Queenstown. There appears to be a couple of good options at the airport, and son chooses Patagonia due to their appealing sounding Breakfast Waffle offering. We are not kept waiting long before the food and coffee arrive. Son tucks into his, and wolfs it down, and I enjoy my cappuccino. The waffles are thick and substantial, the bacon well cooked, and is served with only one fried egg ( I think 2 would be nice), and the syrup is a little bit light on the quantity too. Otherwise, we are happy all round, and ready to fly with something in our tummies. Depending on what time of day you are passing through the airport, there are pizzas, gelato, chocolates, and other savouries available too. When I asked her the reason of charging, but she just laughing and gossiped with another staff which makes me very annoyed, I also been to another shop for hot water, they are nive and ask for free.    Read moreMy hubby and I went to the Lakefront Cafe while in Queenstown and had a delicious Almond Milk Mexican Hot Chocolate, which was a dark, rich, and chocolatey while not being too sweet. We then ordered a Almond Milk Ginger Hot Chocolate at the airport expecting a similar tasting rich chocolatey drink but were extremely disappointed. The drink tasted like warmed almond milk with ginger pieces, with no chocolate flavour.
The airport cafe is a bit cramped but I guess there is limited spacing within this...
