I absolutely love popping into Receptionist Safehouse—it's tucked away on Little High Street, so it always feels like a discovery rather than just another café. The vibe is seriously cool: diners in suits, coffee tables that look like stacks of cash, and a gleaming stainless-steel interior that feels straight out of a movie set. It's the kind of serene little hideaway—your own "safehouse"—from the busy city outside. I have been in constant search for the best flat white in Auckland and believe my search is over!! This inconspicuous stall is an amazing discovery!

My partner initially bought one cup as it was after lunch and we really didn't need a cup of coffee each. However, after a few sips in wide eyed amazement, I had to go back and buy another cup. The coffee was perfectly brewed and done, just the right balance of espresso and (coconut) milk.

The barista (Mr K) was also very polite, and so kindly said thank you when I complimented and raved about the coffee.

I am so jealous of the people who live/work nearby as they get to buy coffee here ❤️

Was really looking forward to having some amazing coffee here given the great reviews and hype. Unfortunately the coffees were really underwhelming. The flat white tasted very milky and watered down and the chai latte had no chai taste whatsoever. The croissants however, were amazing, especially the sandwich croissant. My low rating is because that was the only positive - coffee was bad, there’s little room to sit and no tables to eat and it’s very expensive. $32.50 for two coffees and croissants-there was no menu or pricing so the total cost came as a surprise.
