I booked a table here for my colleague's farewell dinner and it didn't disappoint! I've been to the branch in Newmarket so was glad to see that the food is consistent and perhaps it's actually better here. Maybe the stellar customer service was a key factor. Called in to make a booking for my group of 7 a few days beforehand and you're good to go. Dining is right next door in Snickel Lane so place your order and pay at the counter and your food will be brought out to your table. I had the lamb with two salads (falafel and Greek) with fries (NZD40.80c). I thoroughly enjoyed it. They sell non-alcoholic beverages but if you want alcohol just order it from Mad Samurai or the other eateries in the lane. There's free spiced tea in the urn by the till and I'd recommend you try it and add brown sugar if they have it. I've also been here to order dinner to takeaway and had the lamb bowl - SO delish but it needed a few more olives and the lamb could be seasoned slightly more for extra flavour (NZD24.90c). I should probably change it up because all I seem to be ordering to take away is the lamb bowl (even after getting back from Greece)! Also tried the beef burger with fries and it was good but I think I'd prefer ordering lamb so will give this a try on my next visit....

Zeta Greek Kitchen is an absolute gem tucked away in Commerce Street. It’s not a full dine-in restaurant, but don’t let that fool you—the food is next-level. They’ve got a cozy, well-designed seating area just a few steps away in Snickel Lane, making it the perfect spot to grab a quick bite or settle in for a more relaxed lunch/dinner.
The menu is packed with fresh, flavorful Greek classics. I had Alfa, Beta, Musaka and Salads as well and they were all chef’s kiss. Everything tasted super fresh, the portions were generous, true value for money.
Highly recommend if you’re craving something delicious, satisfying, and a little different from the usual city spots. Zeta is...
Read morehonestly what a disappointing dish, especially at a $20+ price tag (incredibly expensive for a basic work lunch). The reason for such a low rating was that there was absolutely zero flavour in this dish, barely any seasoning and barely any texture. I got the Hades wrap which is lamb and chicken and whilst the meat was well cooked, it had no flavour. Combined with a vary bland aioli (not sure why they don’t use tzatziki like a normal gyros) plus the cooked onion just makes it one big sloppy mess. The letture adds nice texture but would be better with fresh tomato / fresh onion to add freshness and texture. Even the chips were soggy and not crispy. Honestly such a disappointing lunch although it was a giantttt portion (of...
