Avoid this cafe! I asked for "alfajores" (sweet biscuits) with maracuya fudge and received only one. Upon asking the manager to accept their error, as the menu clearly shows a plural "alfajores" not "alfajor", the manager became stubborn and asked me to pay for it. When I asked the manager for his name, he became even more rude and asked me to leave the place. He is tall, has beard, and wears glasses. I recorded the talk on my phone to show everyone that How could a manager not assume their own error?, and also say that I'm wrong and that he is right, and saying "nowhere in the world they're going to fix a meal for you." Granted, the price was merely 5 soles, but his manner of handling the issue was wrong. When I mentioned I had been recording our talk, he suddenly became nicer. Finally, upon insisting for his name, he slighted me and left.
I usually frequent all Valerianas around Cusco for tea time, but this time I left very dissapointed with this particular location. I hope this manager at this Calle Espinar location is...
Read moreI really liked the Place, especially the fresh made herbal Infusion tea.
After ordering a vegetarian fuccacia, (i asked for it, if its really being vegetarian) waiting a bit, i was told sorry, they make it now.
No Problem for me but sadly when they brought it to me finaly it was clearly not vegetarian but with ham. So i immediately said that is not vegetarian and so was told sorry again.
After a while they brought me the same fuccacia, having the obvious meat parts removed and added with some green stuff instead and after asking again was told it is vegetarian!
But clearly it was the same, there where still parts of Ham around and i am disgusted by meat, so this was a absolute no go and if you are a vegetarian i can 100% not recommend this Place.
They where sorry about it and didnt want me to pay for it but still i have to warn other vegetarians about this behaviour...
Read moreWe went for breakfast and were very disappointed.
For the prices the breakfast servings are quite small and not what we expected. We ordered a sandwich that was advertised as having sourdough bread, when in fact it turned out to be the most generic white sliced bread. On top of that, the sandwich had a whole large avocado to compensate for the lack of other ingredients - so it turned out to be a very unbalanced dish that was not that nice to eat. Also, both our sandwiches were served too cold.
The service was ok, although that day they didn’t seem to be on it.
Overall, despite its good location, we’d say skip this place as there’s plenty of other breakfast...
