Denny’s One Ayala — Restaurant in Makati

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service my colleagues and I received at Denny’s One Ayala when we dined in to avail of the BDO promo. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory due to multiple service issues.

Order Errors & Missing Items – We placed our orders in advance before midnight, and everything was already written down. However, our orders were still punched incorrectly, and one item was completely missed, making it ineligible for the promo.

Limited Drink Availability – We were informed that all drinks were unavailable except for iced tea, which was quite disappointing.

Food Quality – The Cajun Shrimp we ordered was excessively salty. When we raised this concern, the server, Blessy, responded in an unprofessional and unapologetic manner, even mimicking our complaint by saying, “Ah, maalat ba?” instead of addressing the issue properly.

Poor Customer Service – Throughout our visit, Blessy displayed a bad attitude, which further added to the negative experience.

Denny's One Ayala (The Bistro Group)

We had a very disappointing experience at Denny's One Ayala. As regular diners at various Bistro Group restaurants, we’ve come to expect a certain level of professionalism and hospitality—but sadly, this branch fell far short.

Our server, Salve, was noticeably unprofessional. Her tone and manner of speaking were far from the warm, courteous service one expects in a restaurant—it felt more like being in a wet market than a dining establishment. What was most inappropriate was when she crumpled a receipt—one not even needed for our transaction—right in front of us and left it on the table without a word ,which felt dismissive and disrespectful.

To add to the poor experience, we didn’t receive the complimentary pandesal, a standard part of the Denny’s dine-in experience.

The manager on duty also appeared biased and disengaged, making no effort to ask if we enjoyed our meal or experience. It was clear that customer feedback wasn’t a priority.

Overall, this visit felt like a serious downgrade in service quality from what we’ve come to expect from The Bistro Group. Based on this experience, we won’t be returning to...

I recently dined at Denny’s Diner and had a generally pleasant experience. The menu offers a wide variety of classic American comfort food, and I appreciated the all-day breakfast options. The portion sizes were generous, and the food was served hot and flavorful — especially the pancakes and hash browns.

The staff were courteous and attentive, though service could have been a bit quicker during peak hours. The atmosphere was casual and family-friendly, with a nostalgic diner vibe that added to the charm.

One area for improvement would be the cleanliness of the restrooms and some of the booths, which looked like they needed a bit more attention.
