This review is long overdue. I'll going to be real transparent here based on the experience I encountered on Jiang Nan's Paseo Center branch.
June 10, 2025: We visited on this date after having our car being serviced and since it was raining and all, I craved hotpot. Upon our arrival at 10am-ish, we were the 2nd client being serviced. Kuya staff was servicing us. He just gave out the menu and left. He didn't explain what to do about it. So, I explained it to my husband. Then ate staff called out kuya staff that he should've explained it to us about the menu and their pricing. Kuya just said "alam na ni ma'am yan, parang palagi na siyang nandito." I let it slide and smiled awkwardly. What if I wasn't the customer at that time? He should've still explained it to us. It so happened I knew what to do because od the videos I watched prior to our visit. After ordering, everything went smooth, until lunch rush came. It was so noisy that you can't hear my husband properly and he's sitting in front of me. We ordered something before the lunch rush happened and they seemed to forget our order. It was the premium meat (meltique, ribeye & lamb). We followed up at least 3 times to different staffs. When it finally arrived, something was off. The lamb was so white like it was freezer burned and didn't look and smelled like lamb. Upon cooking and tasting, it was defintely not lamb but it was pork. This was the mistake I made. I knew it was off and I still risked it to cook and ate it. After 2 hours passed, I experienced diarrhea and fever. I contacted them immediately through their social page and they responded accordingly. After a day or two, I was okay.
June 24, 2025: We came back because we were offered a complimentary meal due to the incident. My husband noticed that they were so attentive due to that they know me and my incident.

Read moreFood Review: Jiangnan Hotpot – Is It Worth the Hype?
Okay fellow foodies, let’s talk hotpot cravings – specifically, my recent trip to Jiangnan Hotpot. If you’re the kind of person who loves gathering around a bubbling pot of broth while loading up on endless meat and veggies (aka the true millennial bonding experience), keep reading.
First off, the price is super friendly on the wallet – ₱799 for all-you-can-eat meats only, and honestly, that’s a steal. Especially if you’re like me and go feral for slices of beef and pork swimming in spicy broth.
Quality-wise? Solid. The meats were fresh (no sketchy textures here), and the veggies were crisp and clean – nothing wilted or sad. Not gourmet levels, but definitely satisfying for the price point.
Service was a bit on the slow side, not gonna lie. There were moments we had to do the “casual eye contact with the staff” dance, but they do try their best. Shoutout to the team for keeping things moving even when the place got packed.
Cleanliness? Totally acceptable. It’s not ultra-fancy or spotless to the point of sparkling, but it passed the vibe check – clean tables, decent bathrooms, no weird smells.
Now, the star of the show? Their special sauce. They’ve got this house blend that’s chef’s kiss. Spicy, savory, a little tangy – I’m not saying I considered drinking it, but I’m also not not saying that.
Final thoughts: Jiangnan Hotpot is the kind of place you hit up with your barkada on a Friday night when you want to eat your weight in meat without burning a hole in your wallet. It’s not perfect, but it’s got charm, flavor, and good vibes. Bring your appetite and maybe a little patience.
Would I go back? Absolutely. Would I bring a date there? Depends on how messy they’re okay with me being. Would I recommend it to my fellow food lovers? For sure.
8/10 – Come for the meat, stay...
Read moreFood: I was surprised by how good the meats are. We ordered Filipino and Angus meat (not as fatty as the US beef, according to our server), and YET it was still so tasty. We didn't get everything we ordered from the menu (ordered 1 crab roe ball, but everything we got had a pair -- so did we get two of it?) But who's really checking, amirite? It's all just delicious. The sauce station was a delight, and we get free unlimited ice cream after? Panalo ang pagkain dito.
Service: I called in advance to reserve seats because pinipilahan ang Jiang Nan! Found out that walk-ins are really the way they go (especially after 6pm), but Ate Tin was kind enough to pin me in the waitlist. That was me trying to do whatever I can to get seats, but all that to say, just go early. :)
Atmosphere: The score dips a bit here because space is tight, like my chair was back to back with the table behind me. Not a lot of leg room under the table for me either. But otherwise, everything...
