Every once in a while, you come across a dining experience that doesn’t just meet expectations but redefines them entirely. After being away from the Philippines for over a decade, Mesclun made me feel instantly at home in the most beautiful way. Each brunch I had there—with my sisters, mom, and Tita—left me speechless, and I even came back again for lunch with friends. Five visits in one week says a lot.

Let’s start with the food because WOW. From the very first bite, it was clear this kitchen doesn’t just cook; it tells a story. Every dish was crafted with intention, skill, and soul. I've always held Filipino cuisine close to my heart and this experience reminded me why it's a true art form. The flavors, the textures, and the finesse all came together gracefully. I was proud of how each dish featured Filipino ingredients with quiet confidence and deep respect for its roots.

Of course, a meal this extraordinary is only heightened by service that’s just as thoughtful. The front-of-house team created an atmosphere that was warm, attentive, and effortless. Under Jimmy’s leadership, we were welcomed like family and treated like VIPs. The hospitality made each visit feel personal and special. Huge thanks to Kenneth, Reynald, Camille, Charmaine, Kristine, Bien, Sean, Asleah, and EJ.

To Head Chef Sam, Waitstaff Senior Jimmy, and the entire team both in the kitchen and upfront: bravo! You’ve created something truly remarkable at Mesclun. This wasn’t just a series of meals. This was a homecoming, a celebration, and a memory I’ll carry with me. I can’t...

So this is based on my experience and my husband’s experience with Mesclun. My husband was quarantined in Ascott hotel in Makati. Well what I could expect, that is such a great place to complete your 10days quarantine. I also expect that my husband or all other people under quarantine would be able to enjoy their stay and will have a great tasty meal. Although, food was given already but as a wife I always want to add some more food for my husband so I decided calling Mesclun as they’re the main caterer for Ascott. I ordered different variety of food such as the pizzas, sphaghetti and main dishes and I’m very glad that it all taste so good (verbalise by my husband). Ordering food from them is also easy, took me few minutes to for them to take my order and paid it thru GCash and it was so convenient. My husband’s quarantined experience is one of the best that I could say and the service that Mesclun provided us was truly memorable and remarkable. My husband celebrated our “anniversary quarantining”, They helped me prepare some food and surprise for my husband (no protocols were breached). They help me with the setup outside his room where all the foods I ordered were prepared like his going on a date but not an actual date and I’m glad that it became a success as he was surprise and not expecting it but he knows there’s food. So once again thank you Mesclun especially to all the staff for the great service and for pulling it through amidst our current situation. Appreciate all you help. More power! Will visit you soon. Cheers! Stay safe guys...

Our family recently dined at Mesclun, and it was a treat from start to finish. The space feels welcoming and elegant yet cozy, making it the perfect spot for both everyday dining and special celebrations.

The food lived up to its promise of “global comfort with a Filipino soul.” Some of my favorites were the Mushroom and Spinach Empanaditas, the perfect start with crisp pastry and a creamy, truffle-kissed filling. The Sisig Spaghetti stole the show for me: creamy, savory, and bursting with bold sisig flavors, unapologetically Filipino. We also enjoyed their Sourdough Pizza with its beautiful crust and great flavor, and the Lechon Binagoongan with crispy pork belly in a rich, umami shrimp paste sauce that honestly begged for extra rice (hehe!).

What truly impressed us was the consistency. Every plate was generous, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The service matched the food: attentive and genuinely warm, making us feel right at home.

We left happy, satisfied, and already excited to return. If you are looking for a restaurant in Makati where both food and hospitality make the experience, Mesclun is definitely...

Two years ago, in 2023, my family and I stayed at Ascott for 4 nights. We ate at the breakfast buffet and although the food was excellent, what stood out the most was the cafe mocha on their coffee menu. This time, in 2025, although we did not stay at the hotel as guests, we returned to Mesclun, with the main goal of having the cafe mocha. Now we ate from the Ala Carte Menu and the food was delicious, one of the best meals we’ve had so far on our trip. And of course, the cafe mocha, was as good as I had remembered to be. We were served by Jimmy, who was friendly and provided us with great service. Jimmy, if you see this review, Thank You! Mesclun offers consistency, quality, and top of the class customer service for anyone who is looking for it - a highly recommended stop if you’re craving a hearty, delicious meal with friendly, accomodating staff to make the whole experience one of a kind.

We went during the peak of summer and there was always a table available during peak breakfast time for our party of 10. Our party was not only large, but also included a baby + wheelchair, which the restaurant made it very accessible for both. Staff was very accommodating and kind. Very helpful, which made everything so much easier- especially with a baby! Jimmy was very attentive and made sure our coffee and water was always refilled. We came in every morning, so the staff always knew to get us started on our morning coffee every time. Food was pretty good, with a new selection every day. You can request to have omelette, congee, and ramen made as well. It was a great start to our morning here in Manila every day!

Concessionaire to full restaurant & events location. Aruga by Rockwell to Ascott Makati. Ambiance settings, tables/seats/food-stations, evenly-spaced for the New Normal. Safety protocols still installed as it should be. Food selection was... Umm, a loss for words, trying to find the ultimate compliment. Let's just leave it at: You'd go back for more. Segregated (special) parking area for hotel guests at B3, entry via G4 parking entrance. Kudos Mesclun! Ascott Makati is lucky to have you.
