A Stunning Experience at Kazu Cafe in Makati

Kazu Cafe never fails to leave an impression. This is my go-to place when I want to show friends and family something truly special, somewhere that will genuinely blow them away.

Atmosphere & Ambiance

The interior design is absolutely stunning. What strikes me most is how they've managed to create a space that's both visually stimulating and deeply relaxing. The aesthetics are rich with colorful elements that catch your eye, but the thoughtful spacing prevents it from feeling overwhelming. It's the kind of place where you could easily lose track of time, settling in for hours without feeling restless.

The Food Experience

The main dishes are solid—good quality and well-executed, though they don't necessarily steal the show. Where Kazu Cafe truly shines is in their dessert program, particularly their presentation.

The Matcha Mont Blanc: A Must-Order

The Matcha Mont Blanc is absolutely extraordinary and my highest recommendation. The combination of matcha and chestnut creates something uniquely delicious, made with clearly high-quality ingredients that you can taste in every bite. But what elevates this dessert from great to unforgettable is the theatrical presentation.

They wheel out this impressive golden cart right to your table and prepare the dessert before your eye. It's basically food theater. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in this process is remarkable.

Perfect for Special Occasions

Every time I've brought Filipino family visiting from America here, they've been completely captivated. The experience has been so impressive that it's actually made some of them reconsider living in the Philippines! That's the kind of lasting impression this place makes.

Value

While Kazu Cafe is definitely on the higher end of the dining spectrum, the pricing is surprisingly reasonable given the quality of ingredients, presentation, and overall experience. You're getting much more value than you'd expect for this caliber of restaurant.

Final Thoughts

Kazu Cafe is that rare gem where exceptional food meets stunning design and memorable experiences. It's become my secret weapon for impressing guests and creating special moments. If you're looking for somewhere that will leave a lasting impression—whether for a celebration, date night, or showing off Manila's dining scene—this...

had dinner here after artfair. to be honest, i’ve been wanting to try since they opened but only got the time now.

food was okay. they do use jasmine rice which i liked. they also have off-menu items that you can check the special items board of the day for.

their service was also okay, but could be improved. staff was pleasant honestly and it was good, but food service is a bit slow to the point that one dish has gone even before the other got served. but they are rather attentive in plates or water replacement and refilling which is a good thing.

we got these for 2: •an off-menu butanikudon (???) bowl — which uses the same chashu in yushoken/mendokoro ramens (they’re under the same house)… albeit marinated differently, i believe. they use lean meat and it’s good if you’re looking for a really meaty meal. it’s personal preference for me, but would appreciate a bit of fat in it as it tends to be quite a chew but it’s not tough that i can’t chew through. •midori green curry — this delighted me actually in that they serve it with a coriander (i’m not too sure about this???) garnish. the curry is green so it makes me think if it’s just coloring or blended with some veggie greens, but i forgot to ask. it was yummy and the egg was just cooked enough like a soft omurice coating. it’s served with two types of chicken: there’s a ball of par-boil, then the rest are grilled strips. •matcha mont blanc — then i finally tried this, cause it’s one of those i’ve been eyeing even in other establishments. i really had no expectation for mont blanc, except it interests me that it’s presented like a shaggy dog lol. with red beans usually. theirs is chestnut x matcha strips on top of vanilla ice cream on bread. i’m okay to have tried it once, i’m not too fond of it but it’s really preference. i think kazu’s presentation of it does it justice. it’s really the whole experience when it’s served and done on the side where you can see how it’s made from start to finish.

their prices are a bit steep, though, when considering the portion sizes. maybe it has something to do with the elegant space.

additionally, really like their restroom. it’s a well thought out spacious area you can easily get lost in hahahah, i just wish there were two. equally, the interiors is appealing from the bar to the dining tables, chairs, and...

Restaurant Review: Kazu Cafe

Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5)

Tucked away in the bustling heart of the city, Kazu Cafe is a delightful gem that combines cozy ambiance with a delightful menu and impeccable service. My recent visit was truly enhanced by the exceptional hospitality of our server, Ms. Charm, who went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was memorable.

Ambiance: Kazu Cafe strikes a perfect balance between casual and chic. The warm lighting, tasteful decor, and comfortable seating create an inviting atmosphere that's perfect for both casual brunches and intimate dinners. The soft background music adds to the cafe's charm without being overpowering.

Menu Highlights: The menu is a harmonious blend of traditional and contemporary dishes, with something to satisfy every palate. I started with the miso soup, which was rich and flavorful, setting the tone for the meal. For the main course, I opted for the teriyaki chicken bowl, and it was an absolute delight. The chicken was perfectly grilled, glazed with a luscious teriyaki sauce, and served on a bed of fluffy rice, accompanied by fresh veggies. My companion chose the vegan ramen, which was bursting with flavor and packed with a variety of fresh ingredients.

Service: What truly set Kazu Cafe apart was the outstanding service provided by Ms. Charm. From the moment we sat down, she greeted us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive; she happily provided recommendations and answered all our questions with patience and expertise. Throughout our meal, Ms. Charm checked in on us just the right amount, making sure our drinks were refilled and we were satisfied with our choices. Her attentive yet unobtrusive service made us feel valued and welcomed.

Final Thoughts: Kazu Cafe is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious food and exceptional service. Ms. Charm's dedication to her customers truly enhances the dining experience, making it feel personalized and special. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by Kazu Cafe — you won't be...

Kaze Café Review – Aesthetic Japanese Café Fusion Kaze Café delivers a beautifully curated dining experience that blends Japanese flavors with café culture in a modern, high-end setting. Ambience & Space The place exudes aesthetic charm with cozy, high-class vibes. Soft Japanese music plays in the background, complementing the overall calm and elegant atmosphere. Seating options are varied—perfect for solo diners, intimate dates, or large groups, with a private room available. The washroom deserves a special mention—exceptionally clean, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. Free Wi-Fi and comfortable chairs round out the cozy experience. Drinks Iced White Mocha Matcha The matcha flavor comes through nicely, balanced with creamy sweetness. It’s refreshing, with a sweetness level around 8/10. Strawberry Matcha Latte Made with real strawberries, this drink is visually stunning and tastes just as good. The strawberries were naturally sweet, enhancing the flavor without overpowering the matcha. Sweetness level: 8/10. Food 10 Kinds of Temari Sushi A delightful assortment of bite-sized sushi featuring pork, beef, and seafood. Each piece was fresh, with rice subtly flavored with soy sauce. It comes with a complimentary soup—milky and savory, reminiscent of pork sopas (but without macaroni). Hayashi Tamago Menchi Kare A comforting dish with mildly sweet curry, moist scrambled eggs (likely milk-infused), and a crispy menchi katsu. Portion size is just right for one person. Unatamadon (Omelette-style Unagi) Moist and flavorful, topped with a drizzle of mayo that pairs well with the well-cooked unagi. A creative and satisfying twist on traditional unagi donburi. Kaze Café impresses not just with its food but with its thoughtfully designed space and elevated service experience. A must-visit for fans of Japanese fusion dining in a chic café setting
