We recently dined at Cafe Del Sol in Boracay, trying both their cakes and breakfast dishes. Here’s our experience:

• Mango Cheesecake: The cheesecake didn’t quite meet our expectations. It had more of a panna cotta or tofu-like texture, which wasn’t what we were hoping for. While it did have a syrupy mango flavor and came topped with real mango slices, it didn’t really taste like a cheesecake to us. • Carrot Cake: A definite highlight. The carrot cake was wonderfully moist, filled with lots of raisins, and the cream cheese frosting had just the right amount of sweetness to complement the cake. We’d come back for this, especially paired with a hot coffee. • Tocino (Breakfast): The tocino was good, but fairly standard. You can find similar quality at other places for around PHP 200-300. It was satisfying, but not something that particularly stood out. • Bangus (Breakfast): The bangus, on the other hand, was impressive and well worth the price. It had a great flavor and was one of the better breakfast items we’ve had on the island.

We sat on the second floor, which was peaceful in the morning, as most guests were likely at buffet breakfasts elsewhere. It was a nice spot to enjoy our meal.

However, when we visited late at night (around 11:25 PM) to try the cakes, the staff seemed to be in a hurry, possibly because it was close to closing time. It made the experience feel rushed, and we didn’t get to fully enjoy our dessert. By contrast, the morning staff was more relaxed and welcoming.

In terms of pricing, we paid around PHP 400+ for the cakes, which is comparable to pastry shops in Makati. But at Cafe Del Sol, you also get the added bonus of a great view of...

If you’re in Station 2, Café del Sol is a must-visit for coffee lovers and dessert enthusiasts! This cozy café offers a delicious selection of pastries and drinks, perfect for a quick snack or a relaxing treat by the beach.

What We Loved: • Triple Espresso Coffee – Their best-seller and a must-try! Bold, rich, and the perfect pick-me-up. • Classic Baked Cheesecake – Smooth, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. • Fudge Brownie – Moist and chewy, a chocolate lover’s dream. • Choco Chip Cookie – Soft, loaded with chocolate chips—comfort in every bite. • Cinnamon Rolls – Fluffy and perfectly spiced, ideal for a sweet breakfast or snack. • Cookies and Cream, Caramel, and Chocolate Cream – Each treat is indulgent and satisfying, perfect for dessert lovers.

Atmosphere & Location: The café is beachfront, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy your treats while soaking in the Boracay vibe. Whether you’re craving a strong coffee or a sweet indulgence, Café del Sol in Station 2...
