Chong Qing Hot Pot — Restaurant in Panglao

Delicious hot pot here for Christmas!

We dropped in with some friends having reserved a day the day before and we were given a nice size table for 4 people.

There are a few set meal options if you aren't sure what you want but we had all had hotpot a few times and knew what we wanted so ordered a la carte. The Al a carte menu is on a tablet which they provide for you too which was very handy as everything had pictures. We got the spicy and tomato soup base. We were able to adjust the heat of the spicy soup base to suite our palates which was perfect and the staff were really helpful in getting us sorted with it.

The restaurant has a couple of pre-made dips, we had 2 of them which were lovely.

All of the food we ordered for the hot pot was great, really fresh and tasted amazing in the broth. The tomato soup was very drinkable too.

We were able to order more dishes when we ran out of our original selection very easily.

All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend....

Don't sleep on this gem in Bohol. Just a few meters away from Hennan. The actual food served looks better than the photos in the menu and tastes 👌👌👌 On top of this, the staff are very accommodating. You can ask them to turn on the aircon if it's too hot. Prices are fairly reasonable for the amount and food quality. We ate here twice during our 5 day stay in Bohol.

Popped in during the day to ask about the menu, which only had about 10 dishes, I asked about noodle dishes as this is what my daughter wanted to try. We went back in the evening and placed an order for shredded chicken/sesame seed/peanut butter/cucumber for my daughter, but she did not enjoy it as it was served cold, we were not told this before otherwise we would not have ordered it. I had curry fried rice/chicken, which arrived 10 minutes after my daughters dish, it was very nice, but both dishes only had about 8 tiny pieces of finely shredded chicken in each, around 700PHP with 2...
