So I was really looking forward to S kitchen at Sheraton after seeing a TikTok video of a couple on a date. I figured it’s Sheraton and it’s a 5 star hotel so it should really be good!? Unfortunately there were more a lot of miss than hits on the quality of their food. Now let’s summarize..
Ambience 5 stars Friendliness of staff 5 star Attentiveness of staff 5 star Quality of food overall 3 stars
The steak was a big disappointment it was lacking the right flavors. I mean it’s steak right how can you go wrong? A little bit of salt some pepper, and butter 🧈 voila it should be simple as that maybe some thyme baste it a few minutes am I wrong?
Then I had the buttered prawns with garlic now that was the winner 5 star on that. I keep ordering prawns that later on the kitchen said they ran out! 😂😂😂
The crab with butter 🧈and garlic yummmmy can’t go wrong with it too. The only thing is I hope they use a different kind of crab next time as this one is hard dissect, but still worth it.
The mashed potatoes 🥔 definite must also as a side dish.
The Kare kare 1 star beef was also hard
Pinyahang Manok never had it before for first time I would rate it at 3 stars just because the chicken was so juicy, But lacks flavor too.
Japanese sushi don’t expect too much the quality is really subpar.
On desserts I would suggest only the mango ice cream with the crushed graham and mango bits on top. The rest of the desserts is really sad 😔
Overall for the price they charge it’s not bad really if you just stick to crab and prawns and dessert.
I hope the chef would wake up and put some love in his creations. I challenge you chef of S kitchen, I know you have it in your heart to perfect your menu and be proud of what you create don’t just serve your food, love the food that you serve.
By the way 5 stars to my server Aisle nothing seems to rattle him he always has a smile on his face and a good attitude and quick service 10 stars to able.
Special mention also to the Asst. Manager Dale. very helpful and reminded me of my Marriot...
Read morePlease note that i am reviewinf the Breakfast Buffet (Group of 10+)
Food - Most of the foods are bland. Average number of food selections. What i tried which i can say is really good, is the beef pares and the dried fried fish (Danngit with sukang maanghang). I find the taste of the other foods mediocre and nothing special. Please note that this is for the breakfast buffet only and not sure if this is the same daily as i have only been here once. It will be best for you to try if you are looking for buffet brekfast near terminal 3.
Service - If i can give 10 then i will give 100. Excellent customer service. They will try to accomodate all your request. Very friendly and accomodating people. Proactive in assisting you, and giving you what you need even before you ask. It is like they know already whst you need. But not to the point that it is irritating. They still respect your private time and they really know when to come in and ask and talk to you regarding your needs. You will really feel that they love what they do, and that they care fir their clients. This should be the standard for all hospitality industry staff. Keep up the good work. You are the gem of this property! Thank you for your quality service!
Ambience and location - lots of parking in the area. Near the airport, very convinient when looking for a place to stay and dine in if you need to be close to the airport. Restaurant itself looks new and smells good. Natural lights and not very crowdy. Bathroom is very clean and has bidet but located outside the restaurant. Just a note to the staff that some of the floor area are very slippery, feels oily when you walk at some parts of the dining area.
Price - More or less around 1k. Depending if you get discounts.
Overall, food is mediocre, but service is really really great!
I May come back, but maybe not my 1st option in terms of...
Read moreLunch at the Sheraton's S Kitchen is satisfactory. I liked the ambjence. Wasn't fond of the smell of seafood since I'm allergic to it (there are other selections I fancy though). The dishes that I could consume at the establishment is standard Filipino cuisine. Kari-kari, lechon, chicken, some Chinese dimsum as well. Good food, not that great. Dessert was spectacular as it is a gastronomic delight. Service was a tad slow though. Perhaps they were understaffed, maybe they're newbies but I could tell they were doing their darnedest best. I observed as a group of diners complained about the slow service. I was too busy enjoying my food to complain.
Didnt like the non-stop piped in Philippine Marching Band music. Had to block it out via earbuds. Play something else. Perhaps a variety of Filipino songs and pieces from various artists like Caybyab, etc.
Haha. Lastly, It took a while to get a few things. Water, coffee.. and the bill. The bill. Never do that, S Kitchen. Got my parking ticket validated so that's a thoughtful plus. I'd be back but not...
