We recently had the pleasure of visiting Kuryer Restaurant in Krakow during the festival week, and we were absolutely delighted with the experience! From the moment we stepped inside, the interior struck us as warm, cozy, and thoughtfully designed – a truly pleasant environment to enjoy a meal. When it comes to the cuisine, we were genuinely impressed. One highlight for me was the mushroom soup with sourdough, which I had never tried before – it was absolutely incredible and quickly became my favorite. The appetizer we tried was also delicious and perfectly presented. The only minor point was the dessert: the ice cream was likely sourced from a partner company, but the combination of flavors was exceptional and surprisingly harmonious. It is rare for us to be so positively surprised by both the creativity and execution of dishes, but here the quality truly stood out. Very few restaurants in Krakow can boast such a level of culinary skill. Our heartfelt congratulations go to the chef for crafting such memorable flavors. During our visit, we were also treated to live music, performed wonderfully, which added an extra layer of charm to the evening. From what we learned, Kuryer organizes various events regularly, which makes it an even more appealing destination – we will definitely come back for future events and will share our impressions again. Another great touch was the local craft beer selection, showcasing some of the best brews from Krakow. As a native of the city, I must admit I was pleasantly surprised to discover such high-quality local beers available right on-site. Prices are slightly higher than other local venues, but given the exceptional quality of both food and atmosphere, it is absolutely worth it. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed and highly recommend Kuryer Restaurant – a true gem in Krakow’s...

Dining at the Garamond Restaurant was one of the most unexpectedly delightful culinary surprises during my trip to Poland. Tucked within a stylish boutique hotel, this restaurant effortlessly blends modern elegance with timeless charm.
From the moment I entered, the décor set the tone — soft ambient lighting, curated black-and-white photo walls, and chic table settings made the space feel both intimate and refined. Service was impeccable: attentive, fluent in English, and genuinely welcoming.
I ordered the seasonal tasting dishes, including a delicate cream soup and a perfectly executed lamb main course. Each dish was plated with care, layered with well-balanced flavors, and complemented by thoughtful pairings. The presentation was not only Instagram-worthy but also reflected the kitchen’s attention to culinary detail.
The wine list, while not extensive, was well-curated and aligned with the kitchen’s sophistication. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the sommelier recommended a local pairing that brought out the best in the lamb.
A bonus? The charming courtyard, ideal for a post-meal espresso or quiet conversation. A true hidden gem in the heart of Kraków, perfect for both travelers and locals seeking elevated yet...
Read moreWe decided to go here after seeing great reviews on Tripadvisor and Google, we were terribly disappointed and struggle to reconcile the hyper positive reviews with reality .
Let’s start with positives. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and has a nice ambience. unfortunately that’s where the positives stopped. The service was diabolical, no one came to offer a wine menu, no one came to ask how our food was, no one came to see if we might like a drinks top up.
Unfortunately the food wasn’t much better. The starter of tuna had such combination clashes it just made no sense, ,the fish main was bland and unseasoned, the purree accompanying it similar (had to look back at menu to remember what it was suppose to be). Desert was ok but nothing to write home about. It was all edible and inoffensive but that’s the most positive thing I can say.
I don’t expect perfection and Michelin star cooking in a mid priced restaurant but I do expect good food, cooked well and some pride in what is...
