From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is striking – the interior is both tasteful and creative, blending Poznań’s iconic goats with marine-themed elements in a way that feels seamless and stylish. The oyster-shell chandelier, the courtyard with its warm terracotta walls, and the fish-themed décor make the whole place feel unique and inviting.

The food? Absolutely outstanding. The selection of fresh fish and seafood on ice is impressive – everything from oysters, mussels, and shrimp to local fish and specialties. We tried a variety of dishes: oysters with lemon, perfectly cooked mussels with fresh bread, fried fish, shrimp risotto, and house-made fish spreads served with dark bread. Every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

A big thank you to Artem, our waiter, who went above and beyond – attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the menu and fish selection. His recommendations were spot on and made the experience even better. Also, a huge thanks to the chefs, whom we had the pleasure of glimpsing through the kitchen window in the courtyard – their craft and attention to detail truly shine on every plate.

What stood out most is how Czarnomorka balances everything: high-quality food, generous portions, fair prices, great drinks, and an atmosphere that’s both relaxed and elegant. It’s rare to find a place where you feel just as comfortable having oysters and wine with friends as you would bringing family for a hearty seafood dinner.

One small suggestion to the floor manager: it would be great if the service staff offered water to seated guests right away, even if the whole party hasn’t yet arrived. It’s a little detail, but it would make the already excellent experience feel even more welcoming.

I couldn’t resist stopping by once I found out they serve oysters - my personal weakness - and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Poznań. The oysters were fresh and delicious, the risotto was hands down the best I’ve ever eaten, and the service was warm and welcoming. The menu offers a wide variety of seafood dishes, beautifully prepared and plated.

Important to know: this restaurant is fully dedicated to seafood. You won’t find meat dishes here, but honestly, you won’t even miss them. The focus on seafood makes the experience truly special.

They also have great weekly deals that make it even more tempting: order two mussel dishes on Mondays and get a third for free, or come on Tuesday when oysters are available at wholesale price. (Not sure if these promotions are permanent, but they were running at the time of my visit.)

The location couldn’t be better - right on Stary Rynek, in the heart of Poznań. Perfect for a romantic dinner, a night out with friends, or just treating yourself to something special.
