I recently had the pleasure of dining at A Petisqueira, a charming restaurant that offers an exquisite array of dishes. From the moment I stepped foot into the establishment, I was greeted with warm and friendly service, setting the tone for a truly memorable dining experience.
To start off my culinary journey, I indulged in their tapas, and I must say, they were simply divine. The shrimps were impeccably cooked, boasting a succulent and tender texture that melted in my mouth. The dish was beautifully seasoned with a harmonious blend of herbs and spices, enhancing the natural flavors of the shrimp. Each bite was a burst of freshness, complemented by a delightful sauce that added a tangy kick. It was an excellent choice and left me craving more.
Moving on to the octopus, I was impressed by the culinary mastery displayed in this dish. The octopus was expertly prepared, tender yet still retaining a delightful bite. It was perfectly seasoned, allowing the delicate flavors of the seafood to shine through. The accompanying side dishes added a wonderful contrast of textures and flavors, creating a well-rounded and satisfying plate. This dish truly showcased the chef's skill and creativity, and I couldn't have asked for a better octopus dish.
Lastly, I had the pleasure of trying the buck breast, and it was a true gastronomic delight. The buck breast was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, with a rich and earthy flavor that was both comforting and indulgent. The accompanying sauce complemented the meat beautifully, providing a perfect balance of flavors. The presentation of the dish was also impeccable, showcasing the attention to detail and dedication to quality that A Petisqueira embodies.
Beyond the culinary offerings, the ambiance of A Petisqueira was cozy and inviting, with an intimate setting that exuded warmth. The staff were knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about their craft, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring a seamless...

We booked a table for eight and while our experience started well... everything started going wrong when the food arrived.
The restaurant got my order wrong - completely the wrong dish. I ordered sea bass and got octopus. I said I would help them out by eating that instead of waiting another 20/30 minutes for another sea bass.
I was expecting some form of thank you/ gratitude: a coffee, dessert or my meal free. It was their mistake. When the bill came, the manager blamed my friend for asking about octopus... I clearly saw the manager write down sea bass. The manager then called my friend a “liar” to his face. I added that I was trying to help the restaurant by not wasting food but the manager looked at me saying it would only take a few minutes to prepare a fresh sea bass dish. Now who’s the liar!? I wouldn’t be angry but he smiled at me while he said this.
To add insult to injury, the restaurant had also added extra waters and breads to our bill which had not arrived. After more arguing with us over a few euros of bread and water, the restaurant finally removed extra items. It was a few euros so the restaurant’s behaviour was petty by this point.
I cannot recommend this restaurant. The food looked good but was actually quite bland. I could forgive that but I cannot overlook the rude and aggressive behaviour of the management. Do yourself a favour,...

Approached the restaurant at 20:47 where we’re told to go inside and put us in the corner of the restaurant (even though there were four empty tables). It took until 21:02 for someone to come to us and all they asked was “would you like some water for the table” I had to ask for a beer myself. At 21:19 we had still not been seen to order any food. By 21:25 we had enough and left. To make things worse, they wasn’t even busy with numerous waiters just walking past our table. In the space of 37 minutes of being here, we were given some water and one beer with no food order taken but there was two other couples who came in after us in their 40s+ and was served their food! It was clear to us as a younger couple they didn’t care at all. Their food might taste nice, but we wouldn’t know as didn’t even have a chance to try it! We went to another restaurant down the road “CASA DO PREGO” and I highly...
