The first and only restaurant I was disappointed with in Portugal while staying for a month.

I don't care whether it is authentic or not, as long as it is tasty. It was just not tasty to us, a Korean and a German. I've been to many Korean restaurants in Europe, many of which were not run by Koreans. It makes it less authentic, but I still enjoy the food most of the time, considering it as fusion and taking the adapted taste as inspiration.

I'm questioning how the reviews can be speaking highly about this restaurant. If you want tasty Korean BBQ, this is not the place.

These made me feel that it is a downgrade of typical Korean BBQ: Kimchi: It was way too saucy and too sweet. I've never seen kimchi served with that much sauce, which is fine as long as it is tasty, but it wasn't.

Sauce: Sauce is the most important for Korean BBQ. The sauces were sour, which makes it fit better with seafood. I'm not sure whether a sour taste goes well with meat. I'm wondering why Korean sauce, Ssamjang, is not provided instead. At least, most of my European friends found ssamjang tasty. If the sauce is over the budget, salt with sesame oil should be provided at least, which is essential for Korean BBQ.

Fried rice: I think soy sauce added too early, which makes the soy sauce taste disappear. It should be added at the last moment to keep its taste. The pork fat didn't smell nice. The typical oil base for Korean fried rice is either butter or sesame oil in Korea, which I find better.

Beef traditional: Putting sugar (or ground fruits), letting it sit first, and then adding salt can soften the texture. I'm not sure if the restaurant knows it.

The attitude of the owner-looking lady: The staff was friendly. When we wanted to pay, the owner-looking lady came and asked if it was good. As soon as I said 'it wasn't to my taste,' she went cold and didn't ask for any more feedback. I come from a restaurant family in Korea, and I consider being ready to take feedback from unsatisfied customers and improve the business as one of the things that make the owner professional.

The taste of Korean BBQ doesn't only come from having a grill in the middle. It comes from the harmonious taste of sauce, side...

Booked this place weeks in advance for what was meant to be a proper Korean table barbecue experience. Reservation at 2:30 p.m.—confirmed, noted, locked in. I arrived 10 minutes late, well within their 15-minute grace period, and the restaurant was still active with diners inside.

But the moment I walked in, before I could even sit down, the owner (a woman, I believe) told me, “The kitchen closes at 3.” No greeting, no warm welcome—just a thinly veiled warning to hurry up and get on with it. Why even allow a 2:30 reservation if you’re going to rush your guests the moment they walk in?

This immediately set the tone. Instead of enjoying a relaxed, interactive Korean barbecue experience, we were under constant pressure. The staff kept hovering, watching, creating an uncomfortable sense that we were overstaying before we’d even started. It didn’t feel like dining—it felt like being timed.

The food? Completely average. Not awful, not memorable—just forgettable. The grill setup was fine, the sides were okay, and the meats were underwhelming for a cuisine known for bold, vibrant flavors. There was zero wow factor. Nothing made me stop and say, “Yes, this was worth it.”

As for the service, I’d generously rate it a 3.5 out of 5. Initially polite, but the unspoken pressure to eat and leave quickly was undeniable. It overshadowed the entire experience.

But the biggest letdown? The price. We paid around €60 for two people. For what it was? Absolutely not worth it. Not even close. You’re paying premium prices for a subpar, rushed experience that lacks heart, warmth, and quality.

And again—who accepts a 2:30 reservation when the kitchen closes at 3? That’s not just poor planning. It’s unprofessional. No advance warning, no disclosure during booking, just last-minute pressure once you’re already seated. That’s not how you run a restaurant.

This place doesn’t understand what Korean barbecue is supposed to feel like. It’s not just food—it’s an experience. And this? This missed the mark entirely.

Final verdict: Not worth the time, not worth the money, and not worth the stress. I do not...

The worst restaurant, staff and management i have ever seen. I had 2 waiters tonight, the first one was nice and Friendly and no issues there, the second one in the other hand I short young man with horrible hair that went everywhere including on our plates. As I ordered he was acting very strangely and pointing out things he wanted me to order, I asked him nicely to leave the choosing to me and my party. After we ordered I wanted to verify that he got the right order and to my surprise only the most expensive items we added and not what I ordered, I requested to be helped by someone else and got rushed by even kitchen staff that did not know what had happened all because of the manager that clearly wanted to escalate things. They asked us to leave as half of my party including myself were already outside. I paid the outstanding bill as I am a descent human being but I would strongly advice anyone reading this review to not visit this tourist trap and obnoxious manager with psychotic behaving staff. As you are accustomed of me I remain objective even tho I could be livid. This is no place to be treated as a valued customer or guest.

Response to busan's response. I did not make fun of his hair for laughs it is because you dare let someone serve with loose hair which falls on plates and let's not address the fact that he spoke no English apparently and tried to scam us by not taking our order but making up his own and it just so happens that they were the top items. You need to get your matters in order or you will go bankrupt with that attitude because remember we pay your bills at the end of the day so be kinder to the people that allow you to put food on your tables. Never the less I will never visit and not 1 person in my circle will visit as well as we do not need lies and deceit from your establishment and know that this debacle will be reported to the authorities in the morning and I have a screenshot of your response and every other response you used to deceive people on this platform and in your restaurant. You give shame to my profession....
