Kendrick — Restaurant in Lisbon

It’s been a while since I wanted to try Kendrick’s veggie burgers. First, if you’re a vegetarian looking for some good burgers, you found the place.

The environment: is cool and simple, not made for staying too long but still very pleasant, with groovy music playing in an acceptable volume. The place is near Avenida da Liberdade, so you can easily get there by metro, it’s not a long walk from the station to the restaurant, which is placed in a very chill street, without much movement.

The food: In 2 people we ordered 2 beers, one large regular fries and 1 burger each. We opted for The Great and Le Super, both made of quinoa patties. I definitely recommend both of them, very tasty, not dry, good sauce, just on point. At first may seem too small, but I think is just the right size. The fries were also super good, the gentleman that took our orders, gave us a samples of every sauces of the house since it was our first time there, simply amazing! You can tell everything is fresh and high quality.

The service: as mentioned before, the waiter/host was very sweet, was in very good mood. The food came out quickly as well.

The price: in 2 we spent 29,40, 14.70 each. In my opinion is a fair price taking in consideration you’re eating fresh.

Interior is lovely so many details in the space has a very unique feel and aesthetic really loved it the vibe was pretty nice and felt very comfortable and welcoming.

The food was great I loved the broccoli one of the best dishes I had in Lisbon, the sweet potatoes were crispy and very tasty the burger were nice I wish they came out before the other 2 dishes we ordered as this meant we filled up on the other dishes but was still nice, I usually do eat meat but this was pleasantly nice and didn’t feel heavy at all like usually burgers.

The staff were super friendly they had a chat with us and kept checking in, there’s was a bit of a wait as it is at super big but it was nice to wait at the counter and enjoy a drink so it works out well.

There’s a reason why this place has such great reviews. It’s so so awesome.

Not easy to take a classical concept and try to redefine it, maintaining aspects that pay homage to great sandwich shops, bistros, deli’s, bars and counter joints over the decades, while trying to do absolutely everything with careful intention. Familiar but unique. Detail is off the chain.

The service is amazing, it’s old school home-style fused with seriously passionate hospitality- the kind of care and attention that is a lost art on many places in this day and age.

Nico and the guys are doing serious work there. Go eat, drink, ask questions and support it. They deserve as much love as they give - which is a lot.
