The place is right behind avenida Liberdade. Not transited much and out of the way for most tourists. It is a cool relaxed place with picnic tables and a nice list of wines. The food is good for the price and service is good. All in all i love it and went back 3 times and we were a party of 8. Well here is the food review. If you like cochinillo or cordero which is baby pig or baby lamb which sounds cruel but beware that you need 24 hours advance order and they sell half of the animal. We had the pig and it was crispy skin and tasted natural and not overly salted. It comes proportioned on a big plate. Meat was moist and tender that even the bones were edible. It came with 2 salads ( iceberg lettuce, red onions and tomatoes with olive oil and the other was lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cashews and thinly sliced eggplants) and they served 2 plates of each. The plate came with grilled tomatoes and potatoes which wee bomb and some lettuce but did not eat the lettuce and Cost €135 and fed us 8 but complemented with other dishes. I would say it feeds 4 people really well. So thumbs up but beware can get little greasy and heavy. Now to other dishes. We had the squid ink rice or black rice highly recommended. The foie gras is an acquired taste but it was good as a starter and priced well €9. The steaks we tried the tenderloin of beef in pica pau style which is butter, garlic and bay leaf in a skillet always good and had it al punto or medium. Get some bread to soak the juices and butter if you like. Next time i will try the aged beef as some in our party do not like the blue cheesy taste. Besides that we had the tenderloin €22 and sirloin steak €16 medium rare, come with fries and always ask them more crispy. Decent portion and priced well. We had so many things i forget, ah wait the Mediterranean salad with fried shrimp wrapped with noodles is amazing and they have other salads which is great break from the protein heavy food readily available. The desserts nothing great sorry i would skip just the chocolate ice cream is good but everything...
Read moreExcellent restaurant we had a great experience, since we arrived till we left. I have booked in through the phone and received the reservation on a message straight away.
The waiters were very professional and friendly and attentive to detail, he knew how to recommend us the best dishes and we were very happy.
The atmosphere it was nice had a bit of a contrast between warm and cold and plenty of light.
The wine list it was very extensive with plenty of good options, we were happy to enjoy a Spanish wine.
The food it was good specially the Chuletón as you can see on the photos. We had the menu which was great. It was cooked as we requested and it was extremely tasty and quality meat. We also had the micuit and the carpaccio both were delicious and also the ovos rotos which were also very tasty with homemade chips. The pudding was also very delicious.
The prices are nice compared to other similar restaurants.
There is plenty of parking around on...
Read moreMaybe we were unlucky and need to give a second chance, but after the first visit I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to my friends. Despite of the well cooked octopus we were disappointed by the absence of the simple napkins on the table, salt and pepper. We have asked for napkins and nobody brought us them. The waitress took out my unfinished glass not asking if I am ok with this. And when I said that I didn’t finish, she returned it to the table after touching the edges by all her hands 😮. Asparagus wasn’t soft and was swimming in the oil, while dish with grilled octopus misses some sauce. Other than that octopus was super soft and good. Lime tart with berries could be better. The name of the desert deceived me. I was expecting eating berries instead of 2 raspberries and 2 blueberries that were more decorative than taste giving. “Tart” in the name promised me to have a crispy base, but no.
We were seated and...
