Tonkatsu Ramen: Rich, creamy, and comforting. The broth had a satisfying depth, with just the right balance of porky umami. Noodles were cooked well — springy but not overly chewy — and the toppings (chashu, soft-boiled egg, scallions) added texture and flavor without overwhelming the bowl. • Gyoza: These were a lovely starter. Crisp on the outside, juicy inside. The dipping sauce complemented them nicely. Great little bites to warm up the appetite. • Drinks: The sake was smooth and paired nicely with the heavier ramen dish. Hata juice (if this is the I meant “Hata” as in fruit‐juice / Japanese soda?) added a refreshing contrast — sweet and light, balancing out the richness of the food. • Ambience & Vibe: Ramen Shifu has a fun, themed atmosphere (anime / pop-culture art, interesting decor) that makes the meal more than just eating — it’s an experience. The energy in the room, especially when full, is lively. • Service: Friendly and attentive. Staff seem used to busy times and manage it well. Even when they’re busy, they keep a positive energy.

So I’ve thought that place was a tourist trap, but i was pleasantly surprised. First of all its environment, needless to say that place interior is top notch, for any anime fan it would result in a lot of photos and videos, you would literally photo all out of this place. Secondly, regarding dishes, we’ve ordered takoyaki, kimchi and tried shichu ramen on soy sauce broth and yasai miso on miso broth. Takoyaki was amazing, kimchi was picante and mild and mostly important - perfectly fermented, so those two pleased us perfectly. Regarding ramen - it was extra good and portions were big. I’ve seen someone in comments had written that it was too salty - that’s not true. Broth was extremely good, personally I’m a fan of soy and meaty broth and my wife is a fan of miso broth - we were mostly satisfied. If it’s not salty and concentrated for you - you can add additionally soy sauce which stands right near to you. Service is 10/10, everyone is extremely helpful, thank you guys! Would love to visit again

Love this place! We eat a lot of Ramen in Vancouver and are always a little skeptical of eating it in some places. Walking into the restaurant is like being in a manga comic. The service is great. Arkhipus was our server and he rocked!! My wife & I both had the spicy fried chicken ramen and it didn’t disappoint. Came super hot & has a home made taste. The noodles were cooked perfectly, the chicken was crispy and delicious & the broth was wonderful. Only criticism was the miso egg was a little too salty. Dont forget to put on your bib! Highly recommend this place!!
