The type of place you go to in the hope of getting an authentic Lisbon experience. :) They offer local dishes at affordable prices - daily specials were 8-10 euros for the dish only and the meal sets cost more (between 13 and 18 euros). Most staff didn't spoke English but luckily one does and she was lovely. I appreciated her patiently explaining the dishes, and asking me very nicely if I minded moving to another table so they could accommodate more diners (I didn't). It can get a bit tight btw - i think there was barely a few cm between my table and the tables on my left and right My monkfish rice dish had a nice aroma and reasonable portions of fish and shrimps. Enjoyable, though not amazing. Good experience overall!

Tucked away like a hidden gem, this quaint little restaurant offers more than just a meal — it delivers a warm, local experience. From the moment you arrive, the friendly, attentive staff make you feel like family, adding a personal touch that elevates every bite. The menu focuses on local comfort food, prepared with heart and heritage. Whether it’s a rustic stew, grilled meats, or home-style vegetables, every dish feels both authentic and satisfying — like something your grandmother might serve (if she were a brilliant Portuguese cook!).

First, do not come here if you’re in a hurry in the morning and need anything more than a coffee. Slow service and not very kind to those who don’t speak Portuguese. Literally entered ask for a menu and mocked me and laughed bc of it. Strange, thought you were an establishment that served food and one might need a menu to do so… old man was coughing up a storm and did not once cover his mouth or wash his hands throughout the entirety of the visit.

Not giving a one start bc this might be a locals “cup of tea” on how they like to be treated. But would not be returning, ever.

Food was sub to say the least. If there’s a ln old man behind the bar and you don’t speak the language, run if you don’t want your day to be ruined by a pompous old man that won’t even acknowledge you when you...

Ti Alcina is not your typical tourist spot—it's where the locals go to enjoy authentic Portuguese cuisine in a simple yet charming setting. Our tour guide highly recommended this place, and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, we felt at home in its cozy atmosphere. The homemade soups tasted just like grandma's, and the picanha and bacalhau were cooked to perfection. Our waiter, Sarah, provided exceptional service, adding to the overall delightful experience. And of course, sipping on an "imperial" beer from those classic conic glasses was the perfect way to complement our meal. If you're looking for a genuine taste of Lisbon that won't break the bank, Ti Alcina is the...
