We went for dinner on the weekend, group of 5 without a previous reservation. The restaurant is quite fancy. They had a table available and we did not have to wait for a long time. The staff is friendly. We started with some empanadas ( they have a special offer of 2 empanadas and a beer for 8€). We really liked the cheesy and beef empanadas. The spinach one is a little bit flavorless and boring. The chorizo one: even though the flavor was nice, I was kind of disappointed that it is like a chorizo rolled in dough. For the main course we ordered some ravioli and meat (to share). The pumpkin ravioli with mushrooms is really nice, but the portion was little. ( I only took the picture in the middle of the meal) We ordered 2 main courses of meat, the chorizo beef and the other I cannot recall. We ordered 2 side-dishes ( the meat does not include any side dish) : roasted sweet potatoes and polenta. The potatoes were great. I personally enjoyed the polenta but my friends did not. As I said, the staff was nice but we waited quite a long time between the starters and main course. The same happened when I asked for the bill 2 times and ended up standing up and going to the cashier to pay. It is quite expensive:...
Read moreExcellent option for lunch and dinner, this restaurant is the product of an Argentine chef bringing some of his country's flavours and classic dishes to the fore. The steak is of course delicious, but there are also rice based and seafood options for those looking for something lighter. The portions are generous, and some of the food quite rich, so a whole main with a shared starter and shared dessert might be enough for even greedy diners (like me!) The Mbeju starter is an Argentine speciality that is a little like an oversized pao de queijo but heftier and cheesier. The steaks are outstanding and melt in the mouth, as are the sides, including the fries and salads. Unlike many restaurants, the high standards are maintained right to the very end, with a famed dulce de leche flan, and a perfectly executed pannacotta. In addition The empanadas are delicious, especially the beef and the chicken, and are available as starters and as a set lunch/snack with a beer for a low fixed price. The service is relaxed but efficient, there are Argentine beers available on the menu alongside a range of cocktails (including port based...
Read moreWe decided on this restaurant for our 15 wedding anniversary. Unfortunately because we were traveling from Sintra to Porto, we were super late to our reservation. But the restaurant accomodated us right away. We waited about 5 mins to be seated. The food was amazing, but most of all Jesus was the kindest and most helpful server I have encountered so far in Portugal. Maybe it was the comfort of being able to comfortably speak my native language (Spanish), or his honesty in the dish recommendations. He made our experience so much more enjoyable.
On to the food, the carpaccio with capers was delish, but the ossobuco with polenta was my absolute favorite. The meat was so tender and while the polenta on its own was not as savory, together made for the perfect combination. We also had the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly, but again, my absolute favorite was the ossobuco.
I definitely recommend this restaurant. Not only for the exceptional service, but for the delicious...
