Captain Billy's Fish and Chips — Restaurant in Doha

My wife and I got the qgrabs for this place, and we left full but not sure if we loved it. We ordered the Captain's feast - it included two fillets, two fish burgers, two drinks, fries and some mini buns. We had the choice of fried between grilled fish, and also between white or hamour fish. We took the fried option and also the hamour. The fish itself was good, and we had lemon wedges and also tartar sauce, both were good. The fries were great - steak fries. The buns (mini and the fish burger buns) were a little stale - would have traded the option for four mini buns for a garden or other type of salad. Drinks.. well they are drinks. All in all, it was good, but...

We've eaten here a few times, and for the price point, it's really nice seafood. Compared, for example, to Manhattan in Mall of Qatar, it's far more affordable and better tasting. Service is "slow" for a nap food court window, but they are cooking to order, so at least it's hot.

Our "go-to" orders are the calamari & prawn meal and the grilled prawn meal. Calamari is tender and not chewy. Prawns in both meals are cooked properly and tasty. The lemon butter sauce is a bit salty, but pretty darned good (similar to the one at Ocean Basket). And it's cheap as heck - around 30 QAR for a whole meal...
