Exceptional Service at La Parada by Vuyiswa
I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Parada, and despite arriving when the restaurant was quiet, I was thoroughly impressed with the exceptional service provided by our server, Vuyiswa. Her outstanding hospitality made our brunch truly memorable.
Key highlights of our experience:
• Warm welcome: From the moment we entered, Vuyiswa greeted us with a friendly smile, setting the tone for a pleasant brunch.
• Multilingual skills: She effortlessly communicated with us in multiple languages, demonstrating her versatility and attention to detail.
• Attentive service: Throughout our meal, Vuyiswa consistently cleared our table, ensuring we had ample space to enjoy our dishes.

What truly stood out, however, was Vuyiswa's commitment to providing top-notch service. Although the restaurant was initially empty, her professionalism and attentiveness remained unwavering. Cocktails were also very decent, compliments to the bartender.
Unfortunately the food really dissapointed here, especially when considering the outlandish pricing. I truly thought we would receive top quality food at these prices and was excited to taste what the cooks had to offer, especially considering the other ratings, but unfortunately this was not the case.
The kinglip was a very small portion, not more than 130 grams, and very overcooked. When requesting an alternative to the pasta which it is served with, I was offered butternut and a salad. Unfortunately, these came at an additional price of around R50 each, seemed a bit petty. Salad was awful, just some old lettuce and feta, no dressing etc. 2 x unseasoned butternut wheels for R50. Feeling the love here.
Pizza ordered by a friend was very standard, nothing you couldn't get from any takeaway pizza place but for double the price. The way waygu beef burger was also extremely average, couldn't tell it was waygu.
Another interesting price was the rose bombs. 4 x peices at +-R290 if i remember correctly, talk about a restaurant putting the chef under pressure here!
Sushi was however very tasty, but still not worth the price.

Read moreI’m very disappointed and disgusted by how I was treated by they waiter vuyokasi if she says her name is that just know you will receive no mercy treatment ,I had a short meeting there on a late Tuesday afternoon my meeting was held upstairs by the fancy tables so since it was done, I decided to step downstairs outside to have a smoke finish up my cocktail and leave which was practically going to take me only less then 10min when vuyokasi approached me n claimed where I was sited the table was reserved politely I answered for what time as I’m just finishing off she had no answer to the time and just said let me go confirm walked away and 30sec after that she walks towards me with a couple and tells me I have to move I picked up my drink and sat else, the couple then refused to sit there and came to a table opposite me were by the gentleman apologised to me about how awfully I was treated and said I refused to sit there because of the waiters attitude towards you, I responded I thought you reserved the table, he was then confused and said no I did not hence I did not understand why she had to tell you to move, I felt very less important,disrespected and uncomfortable as a guest, the manager tried to apologies but I mean the damage was already created and I just wanted to get the hell out of there I’m really...
