Back in 2022 we went to Harley's twice in one week and had an absolute blast. The food was amazing, and so were the cocktails and the service from the staff. I even bought a Harley's T-shirt. Only good memories!
We were pretty excited to return to Harley's a few days ago, but this time around was a big let down.
We were seated on a table with the airconditioning blasting pretty cold air towards us. Since there were still other empty tables (also at the otherside of the restaurant), we asked if it was possible to be reseated. Reseating was not possible, but they turned off the airconditioning. That was much appreciated until 30 minutes later when one of the waiters asked another waiter why it was so hot and who turned off the airconditioning. The other waiter replied that it wasn't her fault and that we were complaining. This conversation happened pretty much next to our table. We felt unconfortable at this point.
Another complaint was the service from the staff. Asking for drinks when our glasses were still (half) full happened like 6 times. When the main course was served, they mixed up the other and added cheese to one of the burgers. It wasn't ordered because I don't like cheese. The burger was sent back and I got a new after 5 minutes, that was a bit cold-ish. We ordered extra onion rings on the burger, but only got one onion ring. They charge €1 for one onion ring that is noted on the menu as 'rings'.
I am also pretty sure that I got a New York Cheesecake instead of the Key Lime Pie I've ordered. The food was sparsely decorated. It wasn't in 2022. I still have pictures as proof.
When ordering a second round of drinks, one of the drinks was totally forgotten until we mentioned it after 10 minutes.
And finally, when asking for the bill, we got a beer. When telling the staff we didn't order a beer they acted surpired.
Dear Harley staff, maybe it wasn't your day (although it wasn't busy) or maybe you were pissed at us regarding the airconditioning request, but this was by far the worst restaurant experience we've had in years. Not sure if we will ever...
Read moreWe went 3 times 2 for drinks 1 for food the lady who serves drink outside I could not fault she went above for us. The lad who serves us our food we had an issue with. We had a table booked for 7:30 by the time we had finished it was nearly 11 o'clock due to how slow our food was with coming out. The nachos starter is to die for the mains and average my little lad had a desert which was OK however after waiting nearly a hour for it after having our plates taken away he wasn't very interested in it. My husband got a drink and there was dead flies in it took us ages got the lads attending to which he apologised and said he would removed the drink from our bill and get him a free one on the house ( this never happen he was charged for both drinks!!!) I needed a straw for my margarita, and after asking 5 times, I ended up having to go to the bar and get my own, meaning I had to lean over people who were trying to enjoy a drink and the show. A different lady ask if we wanted kore drinks has our glasses whre empty and we was still waiting on mains we said yes 45 mins later she come back and said i completly forgot about your drinks we said its ok has we had managed to eventually grt the attention of someone else. The show is an amazing rock show. Conclusions ill call for a drink in the seats outside. However, will never eat or drink inside . There seems to be no organisation. The place was not full, and they could not run it smoothly. I would hate to visit the peak...
Read moreIf you’re craving the quintessential American diner experience, look no further Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this spot delivers an authentic slice of Americana, but what sets it apart is how it manages to stand tall, even compared to diners in the States.
The Starters: Nachos to Remember To kick off the meal, the starter nachos are a must-try. Crisp, loaded with toppings, and perfectly balanced between cheesy, spicy, and fresh—these nachos rival any found outside the U.S. It’s rare to find such a well-executed dish, but this diner has nailed it. Each bite takes you back to the heart of American dining, making it one of the best nacho experiences beyond American borders.
The Double Cheeseburger: A Masterpiece The true standout, however, is the double cheeseburger. It’s one of those meals that immediately makes an impression. The beef patties are seasoned and cooked to perfection, juicy yet with a slight crust, while the cheese is molten and gooey, wrapping the burger in its creamy richness. What makes it even better is the balance—this burger doesn’t overwhelm but rather invites you to savor each bite. Without a doubt, it stands among the best cheeseburgers you’ll find outside America.
Conclusion For lovers of American classics, is the place to be. Their starters and burgers are top-tier, bringing a taste of the States to wherever you are. Whether you’re looking for a nostalgic meal or just a great bite, this diner has...
