La capricciosa — Restaurant in Arona

Been here twice in 2 days although sign shows as la margarita no la capricciosa

the staff is so lovely and friendly and the food is amazing had a gnocchi bake the first time and was delicious soft gnocchi in a tomato sauce with 2 ribs hidden beneath and topped with a thick layer of melted slightly crispy cheese Partner had carbonara and enjoyed so much he would share

The second time we wasn’t as hungry so shared a pizza and chips which really hit the spot lovely and thing and they split the pizza so we both had a plate

Also had calamari and garlic bread as started both times served with garlic butter and I’m now obsessed

DESSERT - O M G Had the banoffee pie as I can never refuse one and it came in a adorable mason jar type of pot and partner had a chocolate pudding of sort can’t remember the name but when cut into a lovely chocolatey sauce poured out and served with the delicious silky vanilla ice cream

Martini was close to where we stayed and actually looked one of the nicer restaurantes in the area. Service was not good and the food was terrible. My boyfriend ordered a steak medium rare which came very well done with burnt leaks and none of the veg or potatos described on the menu very disappointing. I ordered tempura cod which after telling him not to complain had to ask him to complain for me as the cod was raw and no sauce like described in the menu just a raw tomato. When they took my meal no apology or anything. They took the cod and obviously cut it up and cooked it more so you can imagen was not the nicest dish! We were not offered a discount or apology or anything on 70€ paid. Terrible experience and I would strongly recommend that people avoid...

Second visit here and have yet to be disappointed first visit I ordered garlic bread (which is fresh)main was Lasagna which was great then finished with Tiramisu great service great food.

Went back this time I ordered garlic bread, sirloin steak (medium rare) which was cooked to perfection and complement with a bottle of Marques de Carceres Rioja, finished with Tiramisu.
