The Irish Oak L.A — Restaurant in Arona

A group of us came here to watch the football and the F1. I think it has changed hands over the last couple of years. It used to be better. We started outside to begin with. It was busy and we were attended to almost immediately. The server was polite. Then we moved inside to watch the sport. More customers arrived and the service suffered considerably. We were virtually a non English speaking group. The servers were very slow, rude and shouted at us in English as though this was how we would understand better!! They were impatient with us . The football dominated the TVs and audio. The F1 was on a couple of screens with no audio. People were straining their necks to watch it. Not just our group. We ordered food, which took ages and was really awful. The meat burgers were horrid. The fallafel burger was mush with a fried outside. Yuk! The cocktails were equally awful and watery. Overall very pricey, not worth going here, really disappointing! I don't recommend this...

I went there to watch a game of international Rugby. Asked the guy at the bar, if they are showing it. He said, that he would turn it on. So we ordered some drinks and took a seat. After a few minutes I asked again, if he could turn it on. And he said yes. Ten minutes later I was looking at him quite annoyed from our seats and he said:" I'll turn it on in a moment." The game had already been going for ten minutes.. Some minutes later we had finished our drinks and left as he still hadn't turned it on. He saw us walk out and greeted us with a smile.. So we missed the first half of the game and watched the rest somewhere else. It seemed to me, that he never planned to turn on the game and just wanted to grab our money for the drinks. So i can't recommend this place at all. Also it's a very expensive place and the drinks weren't good. There are a lot better places...

Not many photos unfortunately but definitely worth visiting. Staff wear masks, hand gel everywhere and must wear mask when walking to/from toilet. Didn't eat here but will on next visit to try it out. Entertainment was great the 2 nights we went. The Blues Brothers are great, very funny, great singers but don't go if you are easily offended! Frankie Mack is very entertaining, brilliant singer, a lot of fun to watch, really enjoyed his show! Lucas Alexander is truly talented! Added an amazing twist to artists songs like Michael Jackson, Celo Green and even Britany Spears! He is so genuine, excellent show as all his own touches, brilliant loop artist! All round decent pub.
