We popped in for a drink at the side of the beach in the afternoon on Saturday with some lovely chilled Ibiza vibes. We had some fries with our drinks which were lovely. The staff were very attentive and prompt which was nice. We returned again that evening to see mark knight. It was €25 with a free drink on entry which I thought was reasonable. Getting served at the bar took a long time and I found a lot of people who just came to the end of the bar were getting served first. I queued for 20 minutes to get a drink whilst watching others get served before me who just arrived. Ladies be aware that if you want to use the toilet at night you have to pay for toilet roll. There are none in the cubicles. We left for this reason. Overall we had a lovely time, the atmosphere in the club was lacking a little due to zero microphone work and the lights not being attended to often. When the light jock was there the atmosphere picked up a little but most of the night they were just swaying side to side. The pyrotechnics was a nice touch and did give off a cool vibe. If you are heading here be prepared to spend a little more than most other places.

English following Sábado 15 de junio. Saturday 15th June. I was there with a group of friends, male and female, all of us, living here in Tenerife. We were dancing in the backstage, where the fan in front of the bar is. I've been pushed away from the bodyguard (tall, black hair trimmed at the base), and when I asked to take it easy, he immediately started to become aggressive, intimating me to shut up, and eventually kicking me out from papagajo in 2 seconds, stripping out my bracelet. Doing this, Keep yelling at me: "italiano di m€rd4". I went complaining with the management at the reception, because ending a night like this should never happen, especially for racist reasons. For my own reason, I didn't even drink, and we were quite chill. I have to say, the management reacted professionally, by granting me another access and apologising to me. Still, at that point the mood was ruined and I got back home. While it is true that events like this must be unfortunately taken into account with disco and bodyguards, I think it's good to be aware of this with this particular person. Despite the fact that I found almost a little funny to be object of racism as Italian, I think it's an extreme serious issue and the management really should face this. the bodyguard is the one in the picture.

We came for dinner and was very disappointed. The starter of prawn croquettes was so good and ordered burgers for mains. The burgers were mediocre in taste (the McDonalds across the road have better burgers) and then one burger had a tissue IN it. My friend literally thought it was soggy lettuce at first until closer inspection. When I tried to wave a staff member over I did have to wave a couple times although I was acknowledged it just felt like no one wanted to come over although the staff were gathered in a large group by the bar. The burger was changed but by that point we had been put off by the food. The staff were kind enough to remove the burger and our drinks off of the bill without prompting so that was a plus but when I returned to my hotel I vomited and I was fine prior to this meal so I will not be returning unfortunately.

MUSIC IS JUST BAD. DJs HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT HOW TO KEEP A PARTY GOING. We went to Papagayo 4/5 times mostly on Fridays, because it’s supposed to be the best party with good music. Well, let me tell you that the music is just awful. They play some random Spanish songs that nobody knows (and you can easily tell, because the Dj and the few people in the booth with him are the only ones kinda dancing when the rest of the club is clearly not enjoying their time while standing still and waiting for some good music to come on). To make it even worse, sometimes they mix in a random dance song after playing literally 25 Latin songs in a row. We also went to have dinner before the party, and the food was pretty good, but they always have the same menù which doesn’t even have that many options. DEFINITELY NEED TO CHANGE THE DJ LINEUP.

Be careful (!) We went there around 7pm and ordered a smoothie (4,50€ each). Since the mango smoothie was supposed to be with purée instead of fresh fruit, we asked which smoothie they had with fresh fruit and he said that he could make one with strawberry and banana. We also ordered a banana split for 6€. At the end we had a bill for 20€. Turned out the fresh fruit costa extra. So we payed 7€ for one drink (see picture), which we were not informed about while ordering. In addition at 7:30pm the change the menus. A cocktail which prior costs 7€, now costs 9,50€. A hookah/shisha costs now 40€ instead of 17€. That is a price increase of over 100%. For the same product? If you really want to go there, come before 7:30pm and be careful about your bill.
