Pizzeria Trattoria — Restaurant in Arona

We made two visits to this restaurant on our holiday, the first was fine, the food was ok and the service was fine. On our second visit however, it was totally the opposite. We ordered 2 beers and that was ok. We ordered 2 starters, that was ok. We then sat for45 minutes waiting on our main course. When I tried to attract the waiters attention, they were avoiding us like the plague. Eventually I managed to stop a waiter and ask what the delay was with our dinner" I don't know, I will try and find out ". 5 minutes later our dinner arrived, I ordered lasagne and it was burnt on the top and all the cheese around the plate was also burnt. I tested it and it was s dry as a stick so I sent it back. 5 minutes later another plate arrived also burnt and veg dry. I complained and said I wanted the price taken off the bill. We sat for a further 10 minutes waiting on the bill until a man I presume was the manager came over and accused us of not paying the full bill on our previous visit. Not in apologetic way but an accusatory manner. If that had been the case, we would not have went back a second time, I was furious but my husband just caved in and paid the 15 euros he said we underpaid so, we actually had nothing taken off our bill!!! Lovely looking place. It was unbelievable how bad the service is in this restaurant we stood at the front for about 10 minutes which we didn't mind as it was busy but not one waiter approach us. As the minutes went by at least 3 waiters noticed us, not even a hello, welcome can you wait a minute nothing. Eventually a waiter from about 10 metres away pointed at a table and we got seated.

During our meal I got the feeling of entitlement that we should be happy that we got a seat and got the opportunity to eat in their restaurant. We weren't once asked how is everything or do we anything. I asked for the bill twice eventually got it asked to pay I was completely forgot about I just went up to the till and paid.

I've no issues paying more money for good food and service, this place was very expensive and the service has been the worst I've witnessed in a long long time. We most certainly won't ever be coming back.

In my opinion people visiting Tenerife and spending their hard earned money.on mlnice food and service should steer clear of this place and spend it somewhere that appreciates...

Food was beautiful. However the staff let the whole experience down. Didn’t greet us as we entered, spotted us and just shrugged their shoulders as if to say any table. Then my husband nipped to the toilets and in the space of a minute forgot that we were there together so gave me one menu and tried taking my drink order. Look confused when I said I was waiting for my husband to return. No eye contact or pleasantries when order was taken. Food came which was faultless but didn’t check in to see how it was. When finished took it away and didn’t once ask if everything was okay. Again no eye contact when bill was paid. Safe to say we didn’t leave a tip.
