Let's start with first saying I really like the food here. I'm more of a delivery client though. And on that side they have a lot to improve. When you order through Glovo you get a ticket telling you you better order from their website, and get a 10% discount, which is also repeated by a big banner on said website saying 10% discount on all orders. I've had nothing but problems using that site. First time I ordered on new years eve, well ahead of time, around 21:30. I proceed to call the restaurant to confirm they have received my order, and they tell me they did. I wait for around 2 hours before I realize they haven't come yet. I call them to be answered by another person, who tells me they've had internet issues, and haven't even received my order. After many back and forth calls I got told their delivery guy already went home, and they can't make my order. I insisted, and in the end received my order around 1am, a bit late, a bit cold, but we appreciated their efforts it being new years and all. Now, today, I am thinking of repeating the order from their website, since I do really like the food. I get to the payment phase of my order and decide to call them first, to see they are ready to receive orders, after my recent bad experience. A man answers me, just to tell me they are "saturated" and can't serve any deliveries at the moment. Needless to say, the payment page was just about to charge me for the entire bill, with no 10% discount to be seen. Hopefully, they improve a bit on their delivery service and website to not let people order when they can't serve, and stand by its promise of discount, so clients can enjoy this restaurant properly, and support them through their site, and not support Glovo's ridiculous share...

I rarely give out a 5 star but this restaurant definitely deserves it. There’s absolutely nothing I can find to complain about.

I ordered the 5 spices tofu, the 4 different dim sum, crispy duck with orange sauce, and the torrija as a desert. Everything was full of flavor, textures, and perfectly executed. By far the best Chinese food I’ve ever had, since it’s hard to find a high end Chinese place when not in China. What surprised me the most was the desert, such an incredible twist on the typical southern Spain torrija. The Crunchy caramelized outer layer was phenomenal and together with the soft milky inside, it truly created a perfect ending to the meal.

The service was impeccable, professional and very well timed. The two starters were brought one after the other, and there was an important pause before serving the entrée. They also have a wide selection of wines, especially Spanish, which was very enjoyable for me to explore. The venue is beautiful, from the plants to the silverware, the ceilings and the beautiful wooden floor.

Finally the price of the items is relatively low compared to what you get. I was very surprised to see that. Reason why I ordered so many things and left the restaurant very full but without feeling too heavy mainly because of the high quality ingredients.

Highly suggest this restaurant to anyone who is an Asian food fanatic like me. If ur visiting Barcelona take a break from tapas and come taste some exceptional...

China Crown brings an upscale take on Chinese cuisine in the heart of Barcelona, blending tradition with elegance in a refined setting. The atmosphere is sophisticated yet inviting, with beautifully set tables that elevate the dining experience. The menu is a feast of flavors, with a strong focus on expertly crafted dumplings and the star attraction: their Peking duck, which is carved tableside for an added touch of spectacle. Just keep in mind that the duck takes time to prepare, so it’s best to order it in advance.

Every dish is packed with flavor, from the vibrant dumplings—each with its own unique filling and delicate wrapper—to perfectly stir-fried meats and fragrant rice dishes. The crispy-skinned duck is a highlight, served with all the traditional accompaniments for a truly indulgent experience. Service is polished and attentive, making sure every dish arrives at the perfect pace. If you’re looking for high-quality Chinese cuisine with a touch of luxury, China Crown is definitely...

We went there in group of 10 for dinner on Saturday 13th May 2023. We were in a private room at the back of the restaurant. This restaurant is located in Casa Calvet which is one of the first few private buildings designed by Gaudi. The decor was loud, typically Chinese with no taste and matched other run of the mill Chinese restaurants in Barcelona. It was not mindful of its location. Food - The food was tasteless and insipid. Portions were very small and overpriced. Forget what they write on their website about the menu being from Imperial China. We all came out hungry inspite of spending 35€ per person without dessert and coffee. The wine was expensive. The service sloppy - they spilled wine while pouring into the glass. It felt like we were paying part of their monthly rent for Casa Calvet and getting very ordinary takeaway chinese food in return for the price. Not worth it at all...

Must Try for those visiting the place The food is excellent! And we thought our country mastered the art of Chinese Cuisine. This place, and the way they prepare the food is on a different level. The Rolls Royce of Chinese Restaurants in Barcelona in my book. It just looks formal but you can eat in modest Casual attire When in Barcelona Eat here. I highly recommend these. 1.)Spring roll with this delicious tasting red sauce. 2.)Iberian sweet and sour pork 3.)Tenderloin with black pepper sauce, and vegetables 4.)Three types of rice with shrimp and dry scallop sauce 5.)Green Tea Tiramisu 6.)Mango with Tapioca They have coffee options or they can make one specially the iced latte and a wide selection of tea.
