Disgusting place and service! Explanation:
We came and asked a table for 2 outside. The waiter said ok, just a minute, and then kept repeating it every time she passed us. Another couple came after us and waited for a table as well, and then the waiter comes and gives them a table (even though they came after us). Then, we called the waiter to clarify the situation, and she was like “ah, ok, no problem, let’s organize a table for you”, that took couple of minutes more.
Usually in good restaurants, waiters offer you some compliments after such situations. We asked whether they have limoncello. The waiter looked at us very surprised: “no, we’re in Spain”. (Italian restaurant that was, i remind you) With that logic, why they have pasta or tiramisu in their menu?
All the main dishes we took (pasta & meat) were dry, oversalted and not tasty at all. We asked for some sauces to add, and the waiter was like “no”, without further explanations. The only good dish was 4 small pieces of focaccia, totally overpriced (15€). Will never come back there and recommend you to stay far...
Read more“Cesar” salad (and several pastas) had Ementhaler cheese, a type of Swiss cheese, as an ingredient, but they are an Italian restaurant? The lettuce was brown and it was drenched in dressing that tasted of store-bought mayonnaise. Pizza was just okay and a bit undercooked. The tagliatelle was cooked properly, but the Arrabbiata sauce, usually just tomatoes garlic and chile flakes, came with bacon, ground beef, and was strangely sweet; and although the “Swiss Cesar” came covered in cheeses, both parm and Swiss, both the Arrabbiata and Spaghetti Bolognese came with none. Nor was any offered until asked. Our 3pm reservation (they close at 4) was already feeling rushed with courses served on top of one another, when the server announced in mid-entree that the kitchen was closing and asked if we wanted dessert. We were marked as turistas because of our lack of Spanish (we live here) but I guess that’s not surprising as they are a stone’s throw away from the cruise ship terminal. The only good thing about this experience was that my brother-in-law paid the bill. We will not return...
Read moreExperience was completely spoilt after we wanted to cancel a pizza and were told we would be charged even though it hadn’t even been made !
Having just read you response I feel I should respond as what you've written is simply not true. A waitress checked if we wanted more drinks whilst we were enjoying the Tuscany board, it was at this point we asked to cancel the pizza. A male waiter then came over to say this wasn't possible, we queried why but it was very difficult to hold the conversation as we don't speak fluent Spanish and he didn't speak fluent English. It was made clear though that we would be charged for the pizza whether it was now provided to us or not, so we relented and asked for the pizza to be a take way. The pizza wasn't delivered for at least another 20 to 25 minutes.
It would be better if you were just honest, either you weren't there and don't know the facts or you were and are simply not being honest about what happened. Neither scenario is a good look and if you don't like the review then perhaps that should have been considered...
