Clandestine Library — Restaurant in Cádiz

This use to be my favourite place for a morning coffee and toast in Cadiz. They still have a really good flavourful decaf coffee which I haven't found elsewhere. However now they don't have the mini serving of orange juice that came with the toast. It was a special extra that set them apart from other places. Their opening hours are unreliable, 9:30/10/10:15. Which is disappointing if you are after a quick coffee or you are meeting someone. And finally because there are only 2 people working there and one is responsible for the bookshop side - service can be slow and unfair since they aren't aware of who has been waiting...

I am surprised to see the review just before mine, as I went to the cafe this morning also and had a wonderful experience...as did the seven or so other people in the cafe at the time (or so it seemed from their smiles and actions). I ordered a coffee and pan tostada con tomate y aceite. Both were delicious...some of the best coffe I have had in Spain. The atmosphere was super mellow and warm and the two women working were very kind with me and my poor Spanish. They had a really great selection of children books, in addition to others. I did not look much at the books though as my Spanish reading level is about 2nd...

After having bad food experiences in Cadiz, this place has warmed our heart! Perfect food, beautiful atmosphere und decorand super friendly staff. We had breakfast there for three days, always good food quality. The chocolate cake is not to be missed! And the rose cuppacinno is awesome although I'm not a fan of flavoured coffee. The prices are also cheap, for two tosdas with tomatoes olive oil and cheese + two americanos you pay almost 6 euros. Highly...
