Helados Patagonia Artesanal — Restaurant in Madrid

I like to try out different ice cream places. I have found three good ones so far in madrid but the others are far away so I thought why not try this one. I chose it as a spot to hold an interview. It has a relaxing athmosphere with nice decorations and good quality icecream.

The first time I had strawberry icecream I was surprised because it tasted so sweet. Sweet like fresh summer strawberries. Not unnatural. Very natural and tasty.

I had it hard to choose the first time I was here and was positively surprised that the staff here speaks English fluently. That has helped me out a great deal.

I have yet to try the other products but so far I can say the ice cream gets the best rating from me. The stuff is fresh. You can just taste it! This has become my go to...

Terribly salty ice cream, and even worse service.

The brownie with ice cream is OK at best, the staff is even worse (one particular guy). After placing our order, we were told to sit down and they would bring it to us. After eating our desert, we went up to the counter to pay. There, we were met by a male worker who was about 175cm tall with mid-length dark hair and wearing a hat. He then told us that we should have paid before sitting and that we are in Spain and not our home country and should know better. (Even though I live here).

I went to take out my credit card from my waller and he quickly said “Why are you showing me your card? I haven’t even told you the total yet”.

I requested a black cherry large cone (6.90) from the two cone selections on the counter, one at 5.90 and the other at 6.90, thinking they were different sizes for the greater price difference. On strolling home I compared mine to my wife's cone (5.90) and it was the same size with no difference in the amount of ice cream. Very confusing . Hopefully just a mistake. I found the black cherry didn't have much taste and the cone was bland and not sweet. My wife's flavour (berry) was good though.
