Had an insanely poor experience at this restaurant. It was close to our hotel and had good reviews so decided to try. 1) I called ahead and they said they had avails, yet when I got there at 8:15 they said they needed the table back by 9:30. That should’ve been specified on the phone as that’s an extremely rushed dinner for Madrid. Luckily they were able to move some things around. 2) We ordered our food with waiter 1, however waiter 2 brought out our food and we never saw waiter 1 again. My friend ordered lamb chops and the rest of us ordered sushi rolls. As waiter 2 brought out the lamb chops he suggested we get this Kogi beef steak because it wouldn’t be enough food. We said ok we’ll have it. We didn’t have menus in front of us and he didn’t say the price so we had no idea how much it cost. This steak cost 120 EUROS. I recognize we should’ve asked the price, however to have your staff try and sell a 120 euro steak without guests having the menus in front of them and without saying the price is insane and terrible business practices. Waiter 1 also never put in our full order, so we never got our sushi rolls and that’s where we realized where the miscommunication was between waiter 1 & 2. I asked to speak with the manager several times before one came to me and asked them for a discount or to take it off the bill since we weren’t told the cost before and they were barley apologetic and said sorry we can’t do anything about it, you ordered it. I live in NYC and been to the best restaurants and never had such a poor experience. They wouldn’t even comp our wine. They ended up taking off the sushi roll and chicken wings we ordered. But that doesn’t compare to the 120 EURO steak. I’m familiar with the restaurant industry and know everything is marked up +50%, so the least they could’ve done was comped our $85 bottle of wine....

I recently visited Makoto, a Japanese sushi restaurant, and had an excellent experience. First of all, the place is stunning: the terrace is beautiful, and the interior has a sleek, modern design. We had a reservation inside, right in front of the sushi counter. While there isn’t much direct interaction with the chefs, you do get to see parts of the sushi-making process, which is both interesting and entertaining.

Our server was very friendly and gave us a quick introduction to the menu along with some personal recommendations: • Starters: we tried the Dynamite Hand Roll, which was delicious. We also ordered the Rock Shrimp, which was absolutely spectacular. Following our server’s tip, we added a squeeze of lime and even used the lettuce it came with to make little shrimp tacos — amazing! • Main dishes: we went for the Sushi & Sashimi Sampler (9 pieces), which also includes a Spicy Tuna Roll. Everything was fresh and very tasty. This sampler is a great way to try a variety of items, though it only comes with one piece of each type, so sharing can be tricky. There’s also a 12-piece sampler, or you can order individual pieces to repeat your favorites. • Extras: we had ordered a Spicy Yellowtail that never arrived, but honestly it was fine because we were already full. • Desserts: we finished with their Okinawan Tres Leches with soy ice cream, which was outstanding — a unique and delicious twist on a classic dessert. The mochi didn’t quite hit the mark (a bit underwhelming), but still enjoyable.

Overall, the service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was beautiful. I’m definitely looking forward to going back and trying more from the...

The restaurant truly delivers when it comes to food; every dish is on point, and the seafood is of outstanding quality. The service is also a standout; the staff is unusually attentive for Madrid, which adds to the overall experience. The decor is eye-catching, elegant, and quite extravagant, creating a memorable atmosphere.

However, the layout feels cramped, with tables placed too closely together to maximize seating. This makes side tables particularly uncomfortable. When the restaurant is full, it can feel overwhelmingly busy, almost chaotic, which detracts a bit from the upscale vibe.

If you’re someone who doesn’t mind a lively, noisy setting, you’ll likely love this place, as the food and service are both top-notch. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but considering the quality, it feels justified.

Recommendations: Rock...

No pienso volver, y mucho menos recomendarlo. 0 profesionales, literal, peor experiencia ever.
