It met my expectations considering the price is low. There is plenty of real veggies (steamed brocolli, cabbage, etc.) and also tasty aubergine stew. The tofu/soya meat dishes are too flavourful for my taste (this is achieved with lots of flavour enhancers, powders etc.) It is also impossible to know which dish is replicating which meat or fish as there are no signs on the dishes at.the buffet. For people who (like me) hate seafood this is a drawback because you are likely to add a vegan seafood stew without knowing it. The noodles are too oily (yes, this is a tactic so people get full faster) but the rice with peas and corn kernels was surprisingly good. Still I would prefer a good quality steamed rice instead because I am not fond of GMO corn... It’s not every day you come across a restaurant that combines bold flavors, a relaxing atmosphere, and heartfelt service – but Shi Shang delivers on all fronts. This Asian-inspired vegetarian restaurant impressed me from the very first bite.
Each dish we tried was thoughtfully prepared, full of color, and bursting with authentic taste. From the delicate vegetarian dumplings to the rich green curry, the flavors were deep, comforting, and perfectly balanced – you'd never miss the meat.
A special shout-out goes to our wonderful waitress, Elena. With her warm smile, impressive knowledge of the menu, and genuine attentiveness, she elevated our experience to another level. You can tell she truly cares about the guests and enjoys what she does – and that makes all the difference.
Bottom line: If you’re looking for top-quality vegetarian food with exceptional service, Shi Shang is a must-visit...
Read moreI felt a bit mean giving one so I'll give 2 as all veggie food in Spain is awful! I can't understand why it was So bad! As the Chinese like Indian food do lovely veggie dishes. You're better off going to a normal Chinese place and ordering something veggie/vegan. DO not eat here! I was expecting the awesome veggie meat you get from Taiwan like the Tai Buffets in London however ........ It was awful! You can't even call half of it Chinese as it had no taste and no sauce and most of it was just chopped up tofu with cabbage in water. The food was also cold and I was embarrassed as I made a friend go there cos I'm veggie. If you're a veggie in madrid good luck! I've been here a year and it's a nightmare! Not found ONE nice place! . If you're Spanish don't be veggie! Or You're better off moving to the...
