Don’t go here during the busy hours or you might not get a table at all or worse you might experience discrimination too just like what happened to us. No questions asked with their drinks, they’re one of the best in Madrid so far from all the ones that we’ve tried. Even their bartenders were also nice and explained to us perfectly how to “drink” their cocktails. However, we experienced problems with their waiters. First of all, one of them saw our group standing in front of the door and we were told that we have to wait and that’s fine. 15 mins into waiting, another group came in and when there’s already an available table, he just let the other group who came later than us and we were already reminding him that we were there first and he basically didn’t do anything. He said he’s gonna talk to that group who was also rude but I really doubt that because he also said he’s gonna do something but still we ended up waiting for 10 more mins. He sent the other waitress and told us that it’s because we are not standing properly outside? And she said there’s nothing they can do? So what happened to proper crisis management? We still ended up waiting and when we finally got seats they literally put us in the corner. We tried our best to communicate in Spanish but with how they handled we definitely felt that there was some sort of discrimination.

All in all, we would probably only go back here during the off-peak hours. Drinks were good that’s all but the overall experience was just...

My daughter and I found Bar Ficus by chance and we felt like we stumbled on a fantastic find. There was a bit of a wait but we really appreciated the owner/staff honoring the first come first serve rule. Even though locals showed up after us and attempted to walk right in, they were kindly greeted and asked to wait their turn to be let in.

Decor is smart, warm and appealing. Prices are a bit high but the cocktails are artfully created and presented. All of the staff was kind and sociable.

We came for drinks, left for dinner and came back after dinner for a few more drinks. We definitely plan to guide other friends to Bar Ficus and return next time we...

Popped into the super cute bar for a drink. The vibe is super chic and the drinks are delicious. They pre-make small batch cocktails, and the presentation is really on point.

The Trib-Ale was served with a large straw in a clay pot on top of a nest. The flavor was really delicious and well balanced.

The Morticia was served in a flute with a sprig of baby’s breath on top. A bit more straightforward presentation but still very nice.

If you’re looking for a cute place to grab a drink, this is a definite stop. Staff are super friendly and happy to share with you about some of the cocktails.

The place? Just… alright. • Way to Shanghai stole the show. Incredible flavor, beautiful presentation, and absolutely worth the price. • The Lebanese Smash? Horrific. It tastes like a basil-covered regret soaked in the illusion of wellness. • Limoncello Spritz is a fun twist on the classic Aperol - a bit too sweet for my taste, but still solid. The service? Definitely not the kind that keeps customers coming back. Special shoutout to the blonde bartender who treated us with less respect than my late grandpa had in the tip of his middle finger. Do better and fire her.

Even though we arrived around midnight on a weekday, Ficus Bar atmosphere was vibrant and captivating. Luscious green welcomes you into a dimly lit corner of a South American jungle in the very heart of Madrid. Ficus looks great, smells great, sounds great, and, most importantly, tastes great. The staff was incredibly friendly and helped us choose just the right cocktail for us. Prices are slightly higher than most bars around but both the cocktail and the place are simply better than in most bars around. We had a fantastic time and cannot wait to visit again.
