Ikore Kofi Centro - Specialty coffee — Restaurant in Valencia

I came in for a coffee and to work for 30 minutes and while there was a que I went to the bathroom and was greeted quite aggressively by a female staff member when I was walking back to the counter asking what I wanted (I hadn’t arrived to the counter or even had time to look at the menu. Maybe she thought I was just using their bathroom, which even still should be acceptable). The service wasn’t friendly, I felt like I was an inconvenience. Then I sat at the front and asked for WiFi and was told they didn’t have any (not sure if that’s true as I saw an ikoreki WiFi available) and when I opened my laptop was asked to move upstairs to a much colder, unfriendly environment. I get time limits if you’re working but I don’t like being told to move into less desirable places like I’m unwanted and not to be seen. It is a pity cause the place is beautiful but I still don’t understand why the bar attender was pushing me to order food on this way. First she asked me if I wouldn’t like something else in a way like if my order wasn’t enough when I ordered a coffee and replied I wouldn’t like to eat , she laughed , I felt it aggressive and not just checking if you would like to eat.Just 5 minutes later once I was drinking the coffee she came upstairs where I was to talk to me about their cookies even when I replied again that I wouldn’t like to have something else.I found It aggressive and It is uncomfortable to notice that the fact that you order only a coffee it is annoying for them. Our favourite coffee house in Valencia. They use fresh milk here so my partner is happy as he hates long life milk. The coffee is delicious & the cakes are amazing (try the almond croissant)! There isn't a lot of choice of food for vegetarians - the sandwich they do is great but with other options I'd eat here more. The ladies that work here are lovely, very helpful & friendly. Recommended A+++++

UPDATE FEBRUARY 2024: They no longer do the mozzarella and roasted vegetable sandwich. All that they have for vegetarians now is hummus on bagels (neither of which I like). This will not stop us coming here for coffee & cakes but it is a shame. They still sell fantastic cakes!

UPDATE JULY 2024: They now have a good menu which has a good choice of vegetarian food. Everything is made fresh so if you don't want something that is on the dish, my husband didn't like eggs, they will prepare...
